Farming Koosun's Fire Staff

3 of my friends are currently farming this 100k+ staff and have refused to let me know how to obtain it through their solo build. They say its so the prices do not shoot down because of it being farmed so heavly.

Has ANYONE figured out how to farm this staff? It can be found at Raisu Palace Exploreable.

I am thinking it may have something to do with 55 Ele or 55 necro.

Any other suggestions for farming this green or how to farm it, is appreciated.

i dont know about the build, but looking at the stats this junk does not worth even 10k... nor it has special skin...
why would anyone farm that?

because people want it and are offering large amounts for it. thats a good enough reason for me

I just took a look at wiki, and it just says he has 1 skill, his elite touch fire spell. The map has his location though I'm not sure of that's for the mission or the explorable area after you finish it. If this guy has just 1 spell, he can't be hard at all. Maybe the info just hasn't been put in yet. But since it's touch you can't put a barrier between him and yourself like you can many ele bosses to block his spells and wands.

You'd probably have to be a war to make the run there, and I'd say mes 2nd for elemental resistance and some shutdown/backfire stuff. When I get home I'll try to locate him and see if he has more spells, and that would be the start. I've soloed Onata, the assn boss (and stopped when I finally got his shards) so I'm familiar with the area up to that point.

And yeah the fire staff is decent, but if ppl want to shell out big gold for it, that's all the reason I need to farm it. That and I like the challenge of devising builds for boss runs, 1 and 2 man.

Unrelated: communing spirit rit + echo SS necro make short work of the Merki run (just die to rez closer). Worked that one out last night.

*cough* Signet of Humility + Mantra of Signets + Empathy + Wall *cough*

Happy? Permanent signet of humility means no elite skill slaughtering you, Empathy will kill him off. just gotta be quick. Have Mantra on before you use your first SoH. I haven't tested this... just throwing an idea out there.

You can just kill it by using the wall + empathy + signet (assuming there's a wall to hide behind)

getting there is not the problem, I chest run there for phoenix blades rather often.. my elementalist can get there too.. (windborne speed or armor of mists) its just about timing the patrols

If I can get my sin there I can spike him... I'll try this once I get back on GW. Does he happen to have any mobswith him or is he alone?

He is next to one of the blue portal thingys, so when u aggro him a few shiroken pop out.

Famring him? easy, any mesmer/ele/necor cna do it, even monks, ranger/war are more difficult

Go north form Imperial sanctum, then go the firts left and contine you till you meet the firts gorup of baddies, go right and walk down the hill, their will be a large plain where 1 gorup of baddies will be, run past them or sneak past, depends on the spawn.
kepp wlaking down till you see the next gorup just after some stairs, run past these, take a right and walk down the next few steps to get out of aggro range.
turn around and run along the path, youll see a group of 2 warriors and 2/3 rangers, run past them and continue your way.
when your up the hill you'll see a balthazars res point, go left and youll see ''kai the sword'' orsomthing like that.
He's buggen, any profession can kill him with eaz. he drops a Kais sword which is max, 15 -10, 33 ripple and +7 vs ele
now youll see koosun at the other end of the plain, with 1 group of baddies on the plain, run past them, watch the eles, theyll sometimes wanna hug you and wont get out of aggro. Now koosung is free to be killed, hes also bugged, so just direct damage/degen him to death but dont wlak in yet, kill him off and he may drop the staff. Done!

Any ideas on what skills to use? Especially for a rit/me?

i think it changed he was obsidian flaming me which keeps killing me easily.

He has one skill, a touch skill?
E/Me:
Empathy or E-manage
Armor of Mist (running and in case he uses starburst)
Ice prison
Mirror of Ice (anti starburst)
arcane echo (possibly echo mirror of ice)
Frozen burst
Water attunement
Channeling

Figure out the attributes yourself, I have no idea.
