Are you taking Factions characters through the Prophecies campaign?
Zinger314
I checked all the lv. 20 mission outposts in Prophecies. There were VERY few players in Canthan armors, and there were less than 10 Assassins and Ritualists combined.
Many players who linked the Prophecies and Factions campaign together may not be motivated to bring a Factions character over, since they likely completed the campaign millions of times before. It's even more notable for Assassins and Ritualists, since they get no real benefit from the Prophecies campaign?
So, are you taking Factions characters through the Prophecies campaign?
My Ritualist just Ascended. My Factions-born Ranger just completed Thunderhead Keep.

Couple variables on that.
Remember the largest reason to bring a char over would be Elite Skill caps. Some things wont be available in Canthan land.
Another thing. Will Infused armor be needed anywhere else? (such as cross chapter quests)
And the single biggest reason to move over to tyria.
ToA.
If even one more god's land is added, then the migration into tyria will be enourmous. Luckily they wont have to go far.... hehehe

I brought my ritualist over to Prophecies and I then proceeded to walk my way all the way back to Ascalon. From there I proceeded to complete the missions and bonus to The Frost Gate were I am with her currently. I'm doing this for hero and explorer title reasons and for fun as there is no benefit from doing those missions otherwise. Plus with a couple spirits in the area, my ritualist is a deadly charr huntress. They drop like flies.

Zin Ku never seems to have groups. They really need to do something about the realm-access towns. It could be problematic when we have 4 chapters+.
As for going thru Tyria - I plan to. Some of the missions are alot easier/funner with the new professions. I'm thinking Rit Lord for THK, and Assassin for Thirsty River.

hmm maybe they could take out ToA and Zin Ku and jut add a town that has "A portal to the God's Realms" in every chapter ,where you enter that portal and all the chars across all chapters can meet there. Also I plan to take my sin over to tyria once I get back on GW, currently on my grand parents dial up so I can't really play GW, I hate netscape.

I'm sure this will change with time, however.

And ToA is not out of the way?
I prefer taking my sin through Prophecies than I gotta take my Prophecies chars through Factions...

Guess I should say I "took" my canthan born already through Prophecies. One of them is already working on the titan quests. Factions just to short and left me with nothing to do there so I went back to where there was some fun* to be had.
Also took a couple of my canthan born to Tyria for caps before even killing off Shiro with them.
*Personal opinion; GW PvP stinks, is not fun, please do not suggest it as something fun to do. I'm also not any good at it and being fodder is not enjoyable either. hehe

I think it's a natural extension of the game to see how your Factions characters (especially Assassins and Ritualists) would fare in the very familiar Prophecies setting. Examples - can a Restoration Ritualist work almost as well as a Healing Monk in THK? Can a Barrage Assassin work just as well as a Barrage Ranger in ToPK?

Definitely took my Canthan character through Prophecies. I need all the skill points I can get my hands on.

My factions necro is sitting in Hells. My factions monk just made it to LA last night. My ritualist just finished the Wilds mission a few night ago. My assassin is still on Shing Jea Island. Everyone except the necro has never even attempted Viz(local or foreign). Will probably get them the protector of tyria title before getting back to factions.
Blackest Rose
I'm finding it impossible to bring an assassin through factions - no groups want them and there's a glut as expected.
Hence I brought her to Tyria and hey presto no problems.
Groups are inviting you to their team! It's like night and day...
Factions... no one wants assassins
Prophecies .... welcomed with open arms

My assassin already finished both Factions and Prophecies campaigns

my canthan mesmer is on fire island, needed elites
Elemental Firefly
My canthian ele is in abbadons mouth, but unfortunatly trying to get a good group is near impossible
KamikazeChicken
I'm taking 1 of 2 canthan-born characters through Prophecies because I couldn't handle doing the missions more than that. >.<

have 1 char up to Dallessio seaboard (started from asc city)
2nd char is in Asc city waiting on a new member to our guild to finish Pre searing.
the only reason im taking canthan chars through prof. is due to the fact i am done Factions (both luxon and kurzick sides) on all 6 chars. So i have to do something to keep me entertained

I'm finding plently of Canthan characters in Tyria. I've done a lot of the Kryta and jungle missions in PUG's that included lvl 20 Canthan's which is nice. Also a few new (Tyrian) players too.
Caleb
Personally I only bring my Canthan characters back to Tyria for elite and/or Prophecies skills.

I wanna take my sin charr raping XP

I don't have any Factions characters, but I'm going the other way with mine. Right now I just finished the second storyline mission (seeking the stars one) with my Prophecies necromancer. People love necros in Factions...
