hey guys, basically i created a PvP character nto too long ago, its a mesmer/ele, and i also have a roleplaying character w/monk. ive been told the best way to get skills for the PvP character is not through faction points but by getting the skills in roleplaying.
So my question is if i change my second profession and get the skills needed for my mesmer (by changing 2nd prof. so that w/me) and then change again to w/ele will i still have the mesmer skills available for my PvP character?

yes.
rpg char will just contain the skills you captired with that toon. Pvp char will be able to use all the skills unlocked through pvp or pve.

Oh, and you can easily delete your pvp character without much hassle ( don't put anything worth a dime on those though.

Well, it all depends. Say you have a specific Me/E build in mind and it relies on 7 mesmers skills in particular--further we'll say one is an elite.
total faction cost:
6 * 1500 + 1 * 3000 = 12,000 faction. (to unlock the skills)
That shouldn't take you all that long to farm. Meanwhile if you switch your PvE W/Mo's secondary to Mesmer and set out to buy/cap the skills you need it could take you longer than simply farming 12,000 faction. Now if you want to unlock all of the mesmer line skills, well I recommend you do it with your PvE char.

1 skill = 1000 faction, so it would actually be just 9000 faction ^^
Slick Nick
Elite skills are 3000 faction so now I'm confused

6 * 1000 + 1 * 3000 = 9000, as Yanman said.
