Sin hate is still very much alive and kicking. More people will invite you now though because many of the people who play assassins stupidly left. It's still rather hard to get a team, but my assassin has teamed every mission so far and received 0 complaints about her contribution to her team.

Yep, another name is Critical Barrager. Sharpen daggers works with any physical type weapon (bows, daggers, swords, axes and hammers). With high Critical Hit, Sharpen Daggers and Barrage, you can inflict bleeding to every mobs you can get with barrage.

and you can also add other things like critcal eye to get more chance to critical and way of lotus so you get health for each critical

I remeber when I took my uber assassin, Shuuda Kisaragi, to HA. The 1st time I went it was near impossible to find a group, Assassin haters were everywhere, I got taunted and shouted at for saying "assassin LFP".

Personally I think it is the fault of noobs who try to simply tank with them or try going wammo. But people don't realise that with the right defencive skills, an assassin can last well in a fight. As an master of the assassin proffession I find it sad how people rejected me.

SO tru, damn wammo noobs came and ruined the opinion of our class... Anyway thanks for updating me on the Bloody Barrage thing, I may try that build out.. Anyone think of a Bloody Barrage/pet group for a tombs run? It could be done I think, or they could just replace one of the B/P rangers with a Crit Barrage Sin.

I do think that assassin could use a slight buff, maybe a few new skills. Personally I think that if they had a skill that could dodge touch skills, assassin would have more PvP as an anti - touch ranger.

Feel someone has a hate against Touch Ranger here. Anyway, there a threads about that by overused in Alliance Battle. Generally, you will know when you have a assassins-haters in PvP, a Wammo who run against you and not the monk. Even more funny when its a blinded Wammo

I'm not sure how bad it used to be, my sin's about a week old. He's currently at the naphui quater mission. been there for a few days, partly because i don't have the patience to wait around too long.

Anyway, today i'm spamming straight & simple, 'sin lfg'. First invite i get, the team leader says 'i don't trust the sin, they always f*@# the mission'. So yeah, why the hell'd he invite me in the first place.......so whatever i quit that pug just as soon as i joined it. Two spams later get invited to a nearly complete team. bout 1/2 way through one of the monks starts whisp'n me that i'm the first sin he's ever seen that doesn't just repeatedly die. Flattering, though not a very encouraging thought. It did feel good though to be showing a few ppl that yes, sin's can contribute.

Unfortunately we didn't finish the mission (two ppl argued over which way to go, then both rage quit *shrug*), died at the last boss.

Anyway, I aside from having to ignore the occassional A-hole, it hasn't been unbearably difficult, but it is 'more' difficult, thats for sure.

lol, somehow lyssa's classes all end up being very unpopular in PvE.

Maybe lyssa is the real god of unluckiness.

i can understand y assassins are hated in pve since they're designed solely to take down a single target w/ a large amount of fast dmg.. they are assassins afterall.

but y would u need somebody to "assassinate" some monster that makes up part of a monster mob? it's devoting one player in ur group of 8 to killing one single enemy REALLY FAST in each mob u face, then dodging back to ur backline while other characters finish off the rest of the mob. it seems like a waste of a spot to me, especially since assassins are a liable to die while dodging in to attack.

for these reasons, i think sin hate will always exist in pve, and i believe it should

i do, however, think assassins are deadly in pvp and are very useful in that portion of the game

My experiences as a sin, I can take out three to four enemies solo before the group finishes up, I also take out KEY targets, like monks and mesmers. Also if I see the tank having a hard time finishing a target ill go in there and GPS+TF the bugger he is fighting to help with finishing him off.

Well as far as naphui goes, just henched it first try, so there.

Anyway, as far as this

i do, however, think assassins are deadly in pvp and are very useful in that portion of the game A sin only being able to take down one foe before having to skirt away, simply isn't true. If you're careful about not becoming the focus of aggro, you can hack & slash all day. Same goes for being prone to dying.......if you're being directly attacked (hence dying) you need to freakin move. just the same principle goes for nukes / monks etc......it's not that difficult of a concept.

Well folks, what prompted me to write was the idea of hatred towards the sin class and my experience with it. I'm not sure as to what the climate for the assassin was before I picked the game up a couple of weeks ago(prophecies and factions at once). What I can say is that for me to advance in this game
I usually start groups myself to get the ball rolling.

After a few weeks and only one lvl 20 char(of which i'm still working on), I decided to start an assassin char. He's a twenty now. I really didn't have a problem getting into groups for either...mission or quest. Most of the balanced teams that I did get invited to didn't mind me at all.

I agree that this class must be hard to play tho. You have to know when you can or can't kill a target on your lonesome. You have keep a very watchful eye on your health.

I must add this comment tho....99% of the time, whether it'z a group I started, or group I joined, mission or quest....I am the last man standing.
Take it how you want. Assassin's may not be able to take damage after damage, but this class was definately made to be a survivor.

All Im saying is that there would be less assassin haters if they could be used to counter this powerful build.

I've seen more self hate from Assassins than hate from PUGs.

I've been in groups where we had 3 assassins. I was the only monk in the group, and we had a Necro and a Ranger.

Now this scenario just screams out "typical assassin" but what can you do with no Warriors.

So they tanked the best they could and I healed them as best I could. One pet and then the minions started to come out. It wasn't until about middle of the mission when the Assassins started to die (we were still on the Island). All of a sudden, one Assassin said he was dying too much and he was slowing the team down. I told him not to worry, we are almost done the mission. Just stay. The rest of the group agreed, he should stay. We had two fights left, and the Assassin left.

The other two, at least one with 60%dp and the other one was probably around 35%. None of them had any teleporting skills.

Anyway, we completed the mission with 2 swords. Admittedly, I'm not a good healer, but only the assassins died.

The further you go into the game, the better your chances are to getting into a group. You'll show your LV20, and they ask if you have any teleport skills. Just say yes (equip 1) and usually your in. Of course, don't expect to enter a group with 6 or more people.

Wow that upsets me, and it sounds like he was trying his best.

Me on the otherhand, I don't fear dying, it happens to the best of us. If I die I simpliy accept that I made an error when judging the situation.

Died only 6 time now with my Sin and I'm at Raisu Palace (All my hate in this mission by lags and not the pugs). I havent got any complaint later in game. One interesting thing, Sins Celestial skill are good against Shiro.
