I got an amber chunk from mantids outside of Ran Musu.

It's probably because its a Mantid.And theres Mantids in the Echovald Forests.UHOH ANET NERFBE4PPLEXPLOTZ!

It is very rare but yes monsters will drop jade and amber. I have had it happen twice.

Rare drops can happen just about anywere, i got Ruby's in old ascalon

All in all I have had 4-5 jadeite shards drop from jade brotherhood enemies while soloing in some areas where jade brotherhood are, it happens but rarely.

I'm sure rubies and saphires even drop in pre searing ascalon. Think it was on here i read how someone got one then sold it to merchant as they didn't know what it was for.

Well obviously you can find many interesting things while farming mantids
