Koosun's staff is nice but the price had gone down quite a bit. However, the potiential drop of a lvl 28 warrior boss is what kept me going. These is what i got from him so far(about 40+run),

phoenix blade, req8 (cross my fingers when i id it), but it turn out +19 below 50, and a gemstone axe,req9 , +15/-5e(which is a decent axe).

I kinda noticed that whenever celestial storm kills the bosses, nothing drops. Iono if its just me though

many times the boss wont drop nothing, just keep killing, I noticeed cuz I dont use celestial storm to kill it, im a warrior

If you're absolutely convinced this is the case then either use Immolate right at the end, or if you think that if you use celestial storm at all it won't drop... you're wrong.

Kai's sword is still dropping, I got one yesterday as E/W... I use 2 running skills just in case for the 1 fixed unmoving spawn at the bottom of the stairs (charge and sprint), fire attunement, Rodgorts Invocation, Mark of Rodgort, Meteor Shower, Firestorm and Celestial Storm. He is usually fried by the time I cast 2nd Invocation. Sadly the chest that occasionally spawns near him has been mostly dropping purples. I use a fortitude bow for running to him, and switch to my sup rune of fire headgear when I get past all the mobs.

I was purely interested in Warrior items to start with so I only went for Kai's Sword using a Frenzied Warrior/Disrupting Chop.

Then I saw this post and thought I would try Koosun as well, but my the only other characters that are able to do the area so far are my Mesmer and Ranger.

I'm sure I could have outfitted either to do the job, but I do like to find away for my Warrior to do everything.

So, I decided to try a W/Me Illusion build.

Basically I just had enough time on the running skills to get there and the Healing Signet was just in case I got degen on me.

To kill Koosun I put Mantra of Persistance up, used Conjure Phantasm/Images of Remorse, then to get energy I used Energy tap and removed her Sliver Armor with Drain Enchantment.

Rinse and Repeat.

Slow, but It got me the Staff and now my Elementalist is happy.

Alright, I figured out how to do it pretty quickly with my N/E. I was having problems with energy and it was taking forever, but then I went and nabbed an elite... well, here's the results (and it kills Kooson very quickly)

However I simply cannot kill Kai. Tried and tried and tried, I can't make any headway past about 2/3 health. Any suggestions?

EDIT: I've found that using Armor of Mist (with Water Magic @ 8 instead of Air) actually works a good bit better.

Well, gotten Koosun's Staff once (on my first run this morning) as well as a rather nice Platinum Longbow (+15% always, -10 armor while attacking) out of a chest.

It should be noted that there is often a chest next to one of the two bosses, so it's a good idea to carry keys.

I still haven't had any luck killing Kai...

Alright, I know I'm going overboard with this but I've enjoyed the challenge.

Basicly I found that there was simply no way for me to solo Kai with my N/E. Just no way. I tried everything, from heavy degen builds (healing signet wiped the floor with them) to using Rust + Gust along with degens. Nothing worked--he either healed through it or I ran out of energy.

So then I tried using my W/Me... no luck either, until I tried using "Ignorance." Killed him quickly, first time.

So basicly if you have Mesmer as your primary or secondary you should have no problem killing Kai.

Are the bosses even dropping greens? Tried many many times and most of the time there are no drops at all. Is it because they aren't attacking? It's really pissing me off because other people (who havethe collector's edition of GW:F btw) are getting the green drops.

they drop greens,ive done 10 or so runs,and managed to get 3 kai's sword's and 2 koosun's staffs,so yup they do drop

Notice how when warriors cant solo a place with a w/x build, they simply switch their secondary and center their build around the skills from another profession. I find that...interesting....

If you get near him, he'll start using his skills, and you'll have a spawn on top of you.

Conversly, I haven't had luck killing Kai with my N/E. I can kill him with my W/Me and I can kill Koosun with my N/E but not the other way around.

I think what I'm going to work on next is a build that can kill both Onata and Kai using my warrior. Only barrier there is making sure I have "Ignorance" in the build, but still having enough defense to kill Onata and enough offence to kill Kai.

I've gotten Koosun's Staff once out of about 20 runs, and the only golds I've gotten from him are Scrolls. About half the time he doesn't drop anything at all.

It's wierd though... both times that I've gotten greens in the past two days (got Chkkr's Pinchers this morning on my W/Me) it's been in the morning, around 8-9am Pacific Time. When I do it in the evening the drops usually suck.

I haven't done this in a while, but the drops seem to be better often going from International Districts (maybe coincidence?).

Also, from about 30 possible runs I got 6 Kai's and 8 Koosun's. After the prices dropped I stopped farmin'.

After about 20 runs I got 4 Koosun Staves in a row and 4 Kai's Swords here and there. VERY strange drop system. I've been farming Rajazan with my touch ranger and got his sword 3 times out of about 30. Anyone know how anti-farm works? Is it account based or based on the number of people farming specific enemies? :s

I stopped farming the moment I strte selling the melee char builds

at that time, from 2 of the ppl I teached got the drop on the run

nowdays I get 2-3 msgs thanking me for the staff, and 2-3 flming me the staff wont drop.

hm i'm not able to kill Kai with my Warrior. I used the Koosun-Solo-Build (W/E), but I do not enough dmg to kill him because hes healing with his signet. Is there any oter build for a warrior? thx, scott

unfortunately, you can't run to koosun anymore. the fixed the bug where kai didn't attack. Now he does attack, and mobs spawn at his portal

there goes easy farm
