With the mini quest does anyone else get a sense that this is a small preview for GW nightfall. After all was it not the Elonians who built the TOPK and was it not the Darkness that created a chaos portal to Tyria from TOPK? Could this be the theme for the Shing Jea quests and for NIGHTFALL..CHAOS IS SPREADING! via the Darkness?

i forget where i read it but there is supposiedly a lead in for chapter 3 as part of this event. And after doing the quests and seeing how related to the TotPK it is I have to agree that this might be quite likely. Perhaps the Elonians tapped into a dark secret hidden deep within another realm and it broke free and gestated within the Tombs. After a while it began to warp and destroy the once sacred area and suddenly the darkness burst forth creating a new dungeon from the old Tomb. As it's strength grew the darkness managed to creep out further, ripping into this plane from its own in other locations across the world. Perhaps the first new location to be hit is Shing Jea Island... and soon to follow is Elona in chapter 3, Nightfall...
well it'd be cool if it were true, it was certainly a shock to see fingers of chaos cast off all of a sudden and to be charged by a mini version of a tombs creature...

Well, there's that "Nightfall" thing, and the way everything goes to total darkness when the grasps attack.
I'd just gone into the Tombs a day or two ago, and read the Ghostly Hero's description of what happened when they overran the Hall of Heroes. Seeing it all pop up in Shing Jea was interesting. Also, does it relate directly to whatever prompted them to overrun the Tombs in the first place?

well the idea does match that of what i think they will be doing. Introducing day and night. At night harder foes come out and make it crazy for the Map and we have to fight off the evil.

That'll be odd with the sun only rising and setting in the new continent, unless they'd have bigger plans... guessing underground areas uneffected...
