I suppose I'll put the thread here since I know it's server-side and alot of people are discussing the new glitches out with the dragon festival.
So I was trying out a ranger/assassin build last night and switched headgear, which also switched his face... permanently... I noticed it was the face next to the one I had originally selected.
I seriously hope ArenaNet can fix this or I'm gonna be really angry about having to lose my 15^50 customised bows...
Has this happened to anyone else?
Has your male ranger undergone facial reconstruction? (another glitch)

I'm willing to delete my ranger and recreate him purely on his face... It doesn't suit his 'personality' I was going for when I created him.

that said, I did notice my guy starting to look like an anime michael jackson, but I make him wear a face mask so Im not too worried about it

About the face... when you have a mask on you can't see more than the eyes anyhow, and normally it's the back of the head you're looking at.
Seems to be an annoyance, true, but a minor one at best.

I turn off the mask. And at the character selection screen I see his face... And the face it glitched to... It's the worst of the lot... It's like eyeshadow! On a guy... AUGH!?!?

Here's something that would help. See if you have a screenshot of what he used to look like, then take one now, edit them so all we see is the face (to save space) and then put them up on here. I, for one, want to see this since I have a male ranger too.

Lame thing is I never took SS's of him before the glitch. I have a pic of what he looks like now.
I'll get a SS of what he SHOULD look like later.
So why do people have to be smartarses about it... If something glitches with explanation, I'm not allowed to talk/complain about it? Even if it is a small glitch it annoys me knowing what it is glitched and it isn't the way I chose it personally.

Seems to be a problem on Factions Rangers. ZenRgy, I think your Ranger would look pretty cool, especially with a black mask and possibly black armour. The "eye shadow" makes his eyes look dark and evil, which is what a Ranger needs to balance out his masculinity while he stands still... I think you know what I mean.

That is terrible! I feel your pain, I go through a lot of trouble to pick out my characters' bodies, faces, etc., and I would be very upset if those aspects were changed. That's where the "RP" in "MMORPG" comes in. I hope A.Net can fix this for you! Sorry if you end up remaking your character (and thus, work!).

It's as clear and as glass and oh so utterly obvious. Problem is, these people are usually not bright enough to realize how transparent this is to most everyone else.

Also, I have a Canthan Ranger, but it's a female one. I personally don't like male characters' looks, most look like bulky morons or are very "flamboyant" (Male Mesmer). My only male character is my main, because female necromacers just look... scary.

This should be corrected now. You are absolutely correct: Two of the male Ranger faces were somehow swapped in a recent update. But as we say, we read the forums every day, and we learned of the problem from you and took steps to amend it.
If you don't see a fix now, you should see one very shortly.

Yeah it just fixed, the faces got mixed up? Because I made a PvP ranger with the face my PvE one used to have and now it has the old/beardy one...
