Newb armor question
JimmyBoy
I am looking to upgrade my assassin's armor, and a question suddenly popped into my head. If a piece of armor has an effect(such as Health+15 or lessening cripple by a percentage), would I need the entire set for that effect to be present on my character, or could I mix in some other armor and still get the protection?

Nope, each piece counts for whatever stat it has, for example the +15 HP on the chest piece counts even though you have different armor on the legs or hands or whatnot.

Health bonuses stack. If you use a chest piece with +15 health then you will get that bonus as long as that chest piece is equipped. If you have other armors with other bonuses that health bonus will still be active.
Other bonuses like added AL vs. damage types are hit-related and apply to one piece only. If you have a chest piece with, say, +15 AL while attacking, that only applies if you get hit in the chest. If you get hit in the legs, for example, that bonus isn't counted but the bonus on the legs piece is.
So no, you don't need an entire set for any effect to be present.

So what would that mean in the case of conditions? Say I had a chest piece with the effect of Lessened cripple time of X %. Would that effect only count if I was hit with a bleeding attack in the chest?
dargon
no, that would cover bleeding in general. The attack may hit a specific location, but bleeding is just a condition, it applies all over. As a side note, I htink you mean't cripple

tuperwho
Yeah, conditions are general, as is the damage reduction from warrior's knights armor (hence why everyone wears knights boots).

Ah, I see lol. Sorry, packing for a trip and typing at the same time. It is actually quite painful, considering my suitcase is a good 5 feet away from the computer.
