Worst In-Game Sound?

Everyone has a sound they hate in this game. A death yelp, the sound of a hammer hitting...

IMO, the worst sound is the sound...

...of MENDING!

Mending is a DEATH SENTENCE! Once you hear the "brrrrrrrrrwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing" sound, you know you are doomed.

There is also no greater evil on the earth than the sound of multiple Mendings.

Does Tengu henchman count, that freaking bird should be set of fire.

Gotta agree with mending, especially in RA.

The Nagas ahh! Their hissing makes me nervous, especially when they are in large groups.

well I dont like the sound of the skill Dash. oh and the Scales that disease you in the Kurzick territory. Forgot their first name but that bubbly sound.

lol, also the sound when you cancel casting a spell. AAAHHH so many people spam that and it gets annoying.

Worst in-game sound is by far the "error beeps". There was a big uproar about them a very long time ago with everyone telling Anet to get rid of them. Yet they are still there, just as mind-numbingly annoying and unRPG-like as ever.

The hammer is probably my favorite sound.

What I can't stand is the sound of Mind Freeze, uugnn.

The endless wolf howling. That's the reason I hate IWAY.

That sound warthogs make when they die.

Hmm... least favorite would have to be the sound of enemy Tengu, as I have grown to have a borderline psychotic hatred of them.

Favorite sound would have to be the sound of Stone Summit Dwarves dying when I decide to have some fun and use my Illusionary Weaponry build.

The disrupted/view obstructed/can't use skill sound.

I'm not entirely sure why, but I don't like the Comfort Animal skill sound. Freaks me out somewhat. To me it sounds a bit ominous.

Hands down its the Troll roar. Most heard when doing an Infusion run, urgghh!

Runner up has got to be the annoying wolf howls. How people with wolves as pets can stand that noise I'll never know...

Reminds me of the time I was so very bored... selected someone from my friends list and began to ask them 'are Tengu combustable? There are very many, so it seems logical.'

The cat you here around K-Center and other places in Cantha. o_O Tengu is also horrid.

Absolutely. There used to be a bug where that sound was unreasonably loud sometimes but they fixed it in a recent update.

the coolest sound though, is the sound when you put essence bond on someone.

Hehe.. I would cast and recast essence bond on people just to hear the sound. I like it.


But the worst sound is..the sound of bog scales.. so... f'ing annoying..

Doing missions in ferndale with someone who takes supplies quest and then drops the supplies.....omgggggggggg the endless pinging noise is by far the worst thing in the game. EVEN when you are far away, the pinging chimes on!

I'd have to say the Tengu noise. One reason I hate that Talon is the only warrior hench in the later parts of Factions. Lukas is really full of himself but at least he's quiet.....
