Starting Fresh In guild wars. A Spiritual Journey
The one Casey Squid
I have deleted everything
Every character
Every item
Every ounce of currency
Dropped from my guild
Every thought of guild wars.
I am starting anew as a fresh soul in this land of wonderment.
Before I start my spiritual Jihad into the realm that is guild wars I would like your opinions on what class I should use on my journey to enlightenment.

Poison Ivy
Dude...you should've gave the stuff to me...
Diablo???
...or me....
Kijik Oni Hanryuu
or a poor soul like meeeee... well umm play as the Sin have fun.
The one Casey Squid
haha I didnt have anything good that I didnt use for my characters. I just got so tired of alliance battles and hall that I thought it would be good to start from the beginning.
Phoenix Arrows
Play it safe and start as a W/Mo, also widely known as a Wammo.
Cash
kudos to you for the courage to give it a second chance. good luck the second time around!
Eviance
I say play whatever it is you haven't unlocked.. Try a "newb" build... Do like I did and go R/Ele through the game lol. I think it's great and I often go back to the beggining... I just find I don't stay there often or I don't finish my path without some form of "help". Good Luck and have fun!
Kijik Oni Hanryuu
hehe always good to play as a newb and get called one then get alugh at how the idiot who called you a newb doesn't knwo that you have been playing for a year. oh and hi Eviance! How are you?
Eviance
ello, doing well, you?
And yes I always enjoy being newbed at (it fills me with rightous anger lol).

Riceboi
Well you are a braver man than I. I would start with a Mesmer just for the hell of it.
Kijik Oni Hanryuu
I am doing well but I really shouldn't be up right now lol its 11:34 here and I have ta wake up at 7:00 X.X
Funny story, one time I was in Ascalon RA with my Warrior and some random ele called me a newb after I destroyed him, lol he proceeded to whisper me after fight calling me a noob so I ignored him, after I told him what an idiot he was.

If you are doing this as a spiritual thing, the logical choice of professions to me would seem to be a Monk or maybe Ritualist, though I would lean in favor of the former. Really, if you were just getting tired of playing as a high lvl character, I would have just created one new character and ignored the rest. Even if you never played them again, at least you still had that choice. Perhaps even by continually having the choice of playing a high level character and choosing the low level character instead would be a more truer sacrifice.

Spiritual journey? Sounds poetic and all, but sorry mate, you deleted all your crap for nothing.
The beginning when people barely knew how to get to Grendich courthouse and you are still wondering about in Diesia, that is spiritual. The first time you reach the crystal desert.. that is spiritual.
Restarting when everyone and his mom has completed Factions?
*yawn*
I call it too much free time.

Ranger. They're so versatile and have so many builds to choose from.
Talic
We dont really need posts about the virus spammer, the mods know what is going on and obviously have the situation handled.
On topic : I would go with mesmer, since it is so underplayed, or ranger, something about the ranger class relaxes me.... and good luck on the 2nd try, some of the newer prophecies characters are first timers and half the time I find they are very friendly and willing to learn the ropes.

i think its a great idea good for u buddy. I would love to do that but tbh i cant be assed. :P

Ive decided to go Ranger. Ive decided that having a animal companion on this journey of the soul would be a good idea.
(Im not serious about this while "spiritual journey" but saying im going of a crusade of the soul sounds better than "Hey Im going back to being a noob :P"

i was just going to post saying "if you are calling this a spiritual journey, maybe you should just stop playing altogether" but thanks for clearing that up

Deleting all your items and gold was kind of a dickish move, don't you think?
I would have given them away, at least then the time and money spent on said items would still be worth something :\

Everything was customized and I didnt have much gold to give away. pretty mucheverything I have I use so giving it away wouldnt have made much sense

I'm doing something similar with my monk, but not deleting my characters. I'm just not allowing my monk to use the storage agent untill he has beaten the game. I've also not played a monk past lvl 8 or so, so it'll be a challenge, and certainly different being a 100% non damage dealing support character.
Malice Black
ive been tempted to do this and still might...ive becomre really bored of this game and maybe logged 1hour in the last week..becoming a noob again might be fun
Jeremy Untouchable
the noob areas are fun and i wish i could go back sometimes
Malice Black
u can..delete a lvl20
think ive only got 2 lvl20's left all the rest were deleted a long time ago

The essential meaning of jihad is the spiritual, psychological and physical effort exerted by Muslims to be closer to God and thus achieve a just and harmonious society. Jihad literally means "striving" or "struggle" and is shorthand for Jihad fi Sabeel Allah (struggle for God's cause). |

The one Casey Squid, Malice Black:
My friends, I too am pondering doing this so please keep me posted as to "the feel" of the game now and if you accomplished what you wanted by deleting them.
I have lvl 20 Monk, Warrior, Necro, Mesmer. I'm thinking of keeping just the monk.
To the people that don't understand, I think Guild wars is better suited to playing one character now, as opposed to the old way of playing them all.

And to the OP:
I hope you are not making Faction only toons, cause its gonna cost ya more gold than you did imagine to get skills for them.
Kijik Oni Hanryuu
if in factions, just get what skills you need, and the amount of gold if you got the same amount of skills does not change betweenm factions and tyria, so sorry to burst yer bubble but it is faction or tyria that is gonna cost a bundle for skills.

Should anybody else feel the need to restart from scratch, a lonely soul named Arial Fertuna could always use some extra pocket cash...
Skyy High
I don't think this'll work...you'll never recapture that "noob" feeling we all had when we were starting out.
wilebill
hmmm ... you know in WoW too they say that "noob times are the best times" and I really believe that this is true with nearly all games. Getting there is all the fun, because once you get "there" then the game begins to be too much like responsibility and hard work.
Kidney Licker
I know you probably realise this but picking a character at the start (name and look) that you can respond to, helps alot. Out of the 6 characters that I have, 4 really resonate with me and I know I could never delete them, they really help me enjoy the game. The other 2, even though they are "okay", I could delete without a blink even if they had FOW or more hours against them.
Hope you enjoy things second time around.
