Have been working on my lucky title, both while afk and while moving around, and trying to figure out a pattern. I normally will always pick one of the corners to stand in, and and recently noticed something strange. It seems as though whenever i am in front of the computer moving my character around while everyone else is standing there (most likely afk), i am always winning more tickets than i lose by a decent amount. On the otherhand, while i am afk, it seems as though i am continuosly loosing when i check back, and am always in a ticket deficit.
For example, i went afk for half an hour, came back to check my tickets, and noticed i had gradually lost a lot of them. Then as soon as i started moving around in my corner spot, i won four 55 ticket winnings in a row while everyone else just stood in place (again most likely afk).
Don't know if this is just dumb luck, or if anet can tell if u have been inactive for a certain amount of time, causing ur "luck" to slowly run out.
If anyone else has had a similar experience with this game, it would be nice to verify that this is for real.
Winning the game of chance based on activity?

lol, so anet has calculated the true properties of luck eh? sounds interesting.
Perhaps they anticipated afkers and developed something to work against them^^. After all, we have been seeing many new game mechanics around here.

Surely this is just coincidence..I mean, they can't honestly expect you to to actively play that stupid game to get the titles, can they?

Just a lucky streak. I hear gamblers will come up with reasoning like that, have their habits in doing things just because they did something once and it won them something. Like someone kissed their ring and got Blackjack, now the person kisses the ring before every hand.
That's just like this, you moved around and one 4 times, now you think it's connected.

Hi
Thing is ive kinda noticed that if you check in every now and then your tickets will go up, while if you just leave yourself afk theyll go down.
As rthe poster above says its PROBABLY coincidence, but as we have no idea hwo teh "random" system works, it could be worked out on how many players are on a square, howlong ccnce they las tmoved etc.
OF course this is all jsut speculation, but it would be interesting if ti was true ^_^

Nah, my friend left the game running overnight and came back with two more stacks than he started with.

Besides, at any given time, it seems there is an AFK on every one of the 9 rings. Someone's got to win, right?
I've gone AFK overnight Friday and Saturday. Friday night, I bought 1,000 tickets and stood on a corner in 9 rings. Woke up with 2 stacks.
Last night, went to sleep with 4 stacks on 16 rings (needed more losses). Woke up with 3 stacks.
I have Charmed and need about 600 losses for Hapless.
I already saw someone with level 2 Lucky, but I don't know if I feel like blowing that much plat.
