Well, i am kinda new to this game and decided first to play a Necromancer. I was eager to try out a pet class (as i do in most MMORPGs). Sadly after Lions Arch i found i was just raising minions, not actually "playing" and PvE got extremely boring, watching for corpses and just siting back there, waiting until my minions finished off enemies, eventually raising new ones.
So i started a Warrior/Monk and it was great fun as always pre-searing...until i met the first Dwarves. I always was depending on my enchantments for healing (the one that heals you per hit) but those dreaded dwarves stripped them off whenever i found energy to put them on me plus they ripped out a huge lump of HP too in the same way. I tried and tried from this point on and grew tired. Plus empathy and bleeding and weakness etc...i just have not close that much energy to get a quarter of the hexes/conditions off me.
I tried other ways to heal but those hammer dwarves disrupt me whenever i am doing something...when i use the signet i end up with less HP afterwards.
So can anyone help me and teach me how to PvE from Yaks Bend and onwards?
Problems as a Warrior/Monk

Start looking for a nice monk to follow you up on the heals. Henchies do heal, but it sounds like your trying to solo the hole game which no class can do. Look for +armor skills and try to balance out your damage and heals. Or could go with heals only such as Orison or something else that heals you, (suggest NOT HEAL AREA don't heal yourself AND everything around you -.- ). I don't know what else to put... anyway good luck, it's not hard being a war, run in take damage, do some damage, and hope you survive to see another day.

There are parts in the game where your enchantments do you more harm than good. Try finding a healer to help you on your travels. Henchmen can help you too.

agreed as per above... or if you are much powerful, and there are not alot of encht strippers, go in, slay them then start applying encht (what i do before ettin farming)

If you are playing a warrior you should rely more on your stances. Warriors don't shouldn't really be using to many enchantments in the first place. If you are in a hex heavy zone then bring remove hex or something like that. If you are in a condition heavy zone then bring purge conditions. Don't try to solo all the quests either grab some henchmen or find a group.

Well, i am playing with my GF being an Elementalist/Monk, but she is pretty busy removing her own hexes.
I am using remove hex, but i have such low energy, i can cast it once, maybe twice. But those dreaded dwarves immediately reapply, even worse if there are several casters, chain-hexing us. The monk henchman doesnt remove hexes...she heals now and then, but most of the time she dies.
I had less problems with a ranger at that point.

Just wondering, but what lvl is your warrior and just how far is he in the game (mission-wise)?
I just recently started a new monk (lvl 12) and couldn't beat Frost Gate until I got a friend to use a lvl 20 warrior to go mow the enemies down.
Some of the other failed tries included parties with at least one lvl 20 person in it, and it seems that most of the time we fail because people just can't kill through the healing mobs and vamp/strip enchant necros.
I honestly can't remember the skill set I used for my warrior when I was doing this mission for the first time, but he probably didn't have half the skills used to optimize my friend's warrior, let alone lvl dmg bonus, max attribute points, or max equipment.

Holy Veil FTW!
And besides IMO there are only 2 hexes u really have 2 watch out for in pve: backfire and empathy.
And for the wammo i agree with Archaic. Bring stances, shouts but try not to take 2 many enchantments. Dont try 2 remove the hexes yourself let the monks do that they are far better at it.

Pick Me
Don't use enchantments from Yaks Bend on out. Enchantment Stripers will heal themselves, Enchantment removers will hurt you.
Start using stances, shouts and mend ailment. Remove Hex takes too long and can start eating away at your energy. Utilize Shouts more (like I will Avenge You or I Will Survive.
You will find Endure Pain and Healing Signet are a great benefit.
After doing about 90% of all the quests (in pre-seering and Ascolon) all of my characters were around 16th level at Frontier Gate.

Level 16 at Frontier Gate!! People usually get to LA by their 16th level.
But besides that, IMO Healing Signet and Endure Pain are essential for any PvE warrior, but it's especially effective at the lower lvl areas.
For some reason it sounds like you are soloing PvE, but I think I'm just being paranoid. Bring henchies or maybe party with people for quests.

Age
I would just use purge conditions or use stance what other said like watchyourself.
Darkcraft
I agree with above, dont try solo.
Use henchies, draw the dwarfs out,of large groups, and try and take out the spellcasters first, they will go down with a few hits.
Also, what armour have you got??,get good runes to help you out like absorbtion, axe, mastery.sword mastery,or what ever weapon you are using, and try getting a minor or major vigor rune,as this will help you health wise"but not armour wise"
.
I did come across, while around that area, some nice weapons, and shields, with pluse`s on against dwarves,so have a look for them as well,I found them to be of help too.
Join a guild too if you havent already, they can help big time.
Have fun
