THK bonus bugged??
Guildmaster Cain
Last night I tried to complete THK bonus TWICE, but it didnt work??
First time, I took the western torch and lit both beacons with it, directly after cutscene. During the last curscene, it showed that BOTH beacons were lit, but we didnt ge bonus.
Second time, I took western torch and lit west beacon, took eastern torch and lit eastern beacon with it. Again, during last curscene, both beacons were lit, but no bonus...
Anyone experienced this as well? Or did I do something wrong?

u have to be faster...

faster at what?? I thought by lighting the beacons, the mursaat hanging around the dwarves out back would come to the fort and attack your group instead.. do you need to light the beacons before the cutscene??

I attempted bonus twice and failed because of this situation, It's not really a bug but once you kill Dorian go outside and look around, you'll find two groups of jade armours haven't approached the keep. Kill those and then go speak to the king. You'll then get the bonus for it.
Guildmaster Cain
Thanks, so I guess some monsters are bugged and stay outside. Ill have to try it again soon...
Lighting the beacons before you kill Dagnar is impossible btw. The bonus option appears when you kill him and the torches are dropped after the cutscene. In both cases, I immediatly ran towards the beacons and lit them, so /ignore stupid be faster comments. :P
Plus I've done this bonus before, but never had to go outside and kill these mursaat, but they might be occasionally bugged somehow.

Did anyone notice that "White Mantle Ritualists" use necro skills?

I believe you only have like 45 seconds to light both beacons to trigger the bonus...It's easy to tell if you lit the beacons in time cause you'll start getting attacked by Mursaat right off the bat instead of Tundra Giants and Stone Summit
omny
I you have one person light both beacons, there's a great chance you're too late. Check to see if bonus has been added to quest log.
If some dwarves outside the fort cry "Great Dwarf save us!" or something similar, it's too late.
The bug described in this thread is also a possible explanation, it happens sometimes.
I assume you completed the mission if I interpret the OP right. That suggests you were too late, as I don't think the game will SKIP any attack waves. You either get them all, or some get bugged and you have to kill them for the next wave to come.

Get 2 people to light the beacons. One on each side. Try to do this within 30 secs to be safe. Running from one side to the other takes too long.
I also think it might be impossible for 1 guy to trigger the bonus himself, even with sprint or whatever.

You are asking for help. Perhaps you should refrain from responding like this when people offer you assistance. And, as a matter of fact, the problem is the time it takes you to light the beacons. Use two people or if you only have henches, use speed buffs, as the previous 2 posts state. Also, heed Omni's advice about the dwarves statement. If you hear it, you won't get the bonus.

Guildmaster Cain:
THK bonus is to "rescue the group of dwarves from the mursaat outside of town...this can be done by lighting the beacons to draw the mursaat into the fort. Hurry and light them before the dwarfs are slaughtered".
If the torches aren't lit in under 30 seconds after the cutscene, the dwarves die so bonus is impossible. I don't think 1 person can light them fast enough.

i did the bonus with 7 hench. it was pretty simple, i made sure i was relatively close to one of the stair cases, by putting myself between the boss and a staircase. I of course had already killed the rest of the summit within the fort. skipped the cutscene, ran to the beacon, picked up the torch, lit it, *dropped the torch* ran over to the other side without the use of sprint or any speed buff, picked up the torch and lit the beacon. you only get 30 seconds so you just have to be fast.
after that i just camped by the king making sure he didn't get aggro'd.

The white mantle ritualists have been necros since day 1 of prophecies. Just bizarre naming that was never fixed.

I just did the Bonus to THK with henchies.
I lit one beacon, sprinted to make sure, lit the second beacon, and then camped the King.
Just to make sure, after the Dorian fight, I left THK to kill any and all remaining mobs.
There were only 2 Mursaat mobs of 3 left out there. I killed them both then went back to the king and voila....bonus. I dont know if you need to kill these last 2 mobs, but I did.

Tip for THK bonus (worked for me)
After yo avtivate the Bonus, go back and stay by the King at all times, dont venture into the courtyard and ignore the pleas of the dwarfes.
You will find that the 'bonus monsters' will fight the othe monsters in the courtyard.
Maybe its a bug but I have gotten 4 of my chars through like that.
There will be a few monsters that do come up but dont attack them till they get into your aggro circle because sometimes they do a u-turn and go back down.
Keep an eye on the King because he runs off sometimes (mending on him does the trick sometimes or remove hex).
Do-able with just hench. Taking it slow till you reach the keep.
Best way to do this is with just two players (1 a monk preferably) and 6 henchies.

did bonus yesterday helping friends... everything went fine

I managed to do the bonus with someone by waiting until after Dorian was killed and then lighting both beacons.
I then tried it again another time and it didn't work...

No they're not necessary. Nor do you need a speed buff. The bonus brings in an addition 6 Jade Armors/Bows into the keep that are hostal to everything, remember everything even red dots on your minimap.
That saves the dwarfs outside of the keep from being killed and that is your bonus. When I help out on that mission, I usually go on nec/mes or mo/mes without speed buffs. If it's only two of us, I usually get both torches myself and have the other person hold the henchies.
