I found lots of lodestones and 2 enchanted ones. They were just outside of the town that did not have a coop mission. Shoot sorry forget the name.

I found quite a few just out of Old Ascalon as well. Came to a place heavily populated by Stone Ele's and Crawls. I let the two factions fight it out, went in and cleaned up the stagglers, then picked up all the junk on the ground, including 10-15 lodestones, 5 or so enchanted lodestones and various other items of little interest.

I never found the icy ones, but I found lots of enchanted and regular lodestones from those rock creatures. However that was only AFTER the fall of Ascalon. And I never found the guy except before the fall...

Same with the worm hides.. found after fall but not before. and the guy not around after it seems. I ended up doing the Other skale way to get the pocket belt... From just outside Ascalon city.

Before the war. You get them in the icy hills when your trying the 3rd monk mission. Lots of ice and stone elementals there.

Here's the problem. The charecter (at least the most avalable one) is in the PAST. Unfortunately none of the creature that you normally would collect these stone from don't drop them in the PAST. You have to be in the CURRENT world to get any of them, ie Old Ascalon, etc. There I was getting a ton of them but I couldn't trade them for anything good with a Collector. So in the next release they either have to move the collector or have the "stone" creatures drop them in the PAST regions. Unless someone else found a collector further along the game than I got.

Just a clairification: Old Ascalon = Pre-Searing. New ascalon = Post-searing.

Unless you are talking about the fact that it's new because they just added it, therefore the other one is old, but that's not a great way to look at it, because there's no distinguishing that once the game is released.

Actually, using the term "Old Ascalon" to refer to anything other than the explorable area called "Old Ascalon" is just asking for trouble. It certainly shouldn't be used to describe pre-Searing Ascalon, since it's a named part of post-Searing Ascalon.

If using the terms "pre-Searing" and "post-Searing" is too cumbersome, may I suggest "Past Ascalon" and "Present Ascalon" instead.

I'm pretty sure I saw them dropped in Wizard's Folly.

I ran into this problem also, I needed to collect lodestones for a pre-searing, past Ascalon aka Newbie land quest. I searched high and low in Wizzards folie, found plenty of elementals to kill but none dropped any lodestones.

Yes, post-searing, present Ascalon drops them but the quest is in Newbie land. I guess this quest is bugged and will be fixed.

Dreamsmith is correct in wizard's folly and in the icy mountains past there lodestones and enchanted lodestones do get dropped...a few. There is a spot way way way in where there is a ton of ice and stone elementals and I believe a boss...perhaps they fall more frequently in there. I was a 4th monk/ranger and was having a heard time fighting 2 elementals at a time; and to go further in would have aggroed a lot more than 2 so I didnt get to boss. This was in the past/pre-searing/green Ascalon.

[COLOR=DarkGreen]lodestones were abundant after i left ascalon before the searing, but when i was in ascalon before the searing i couldnt find, i was playing a monk/ranger also, and they just dont hve the damage output which kind of sucks, but great healing, explored with some which was fun but still with them never even found any

anyways on the fact of waht to call it, ive heard a few call it ascalon bs

bs standing for before searing, and then i guess we could call the ascalon wiith entrance to the old ascalon EA, just ascalon city or soemthin.

so ascalon or ascalon bs, i think those work
