I think it would be interesting to be able to double wield weapons. Instead of a shield for warriors, they could choose to hold another sword/axe, or mix a sword and an axe. It could also work for magic users to wield two wands instead of a wand and a focus item. It would be sacrificing armor or energy, but you'd either get to attack more frequently or do more damage.

Dual wield weapons have been asked to death. It's time for ANet to listen up. Don't make an entire profession to "dual wield" like the kensai, barbarian, etc. Enable dual wielding on current warriors so we can make our own kensais and barbarian builds

Are you kidding, do you realize how much damage a warrior does with 1 axe. Imagine with 2 axes.... Hammers are already at balance or below axes in raw damage what would be the point of a 2handed hammer if you could dual wield two weapons that do more damage... If you wanna dual wield, make an assassin. Warriors dual wielding, now thats the most overpowered and least thought out suggestion in a while.

Twice the attacks, twice the adrenaline, three times the damage. Ya know, only about 6000 damage in 30 seconds.

No cuz then the result would end up like more of a barbarian than an actual warrior. Save that for later...

Er there will obviously be damage modifiers when dual wield. Just like Diablo, you can lower the dual wielded damage. THe only usefulness of dual wielding is faster attack speed.
