How can a Tyrian character earn the Protector of Cantha title?
I thought the first mission for Tyrian characters in Cantha is already the 3rd mission?

You can get the protectors title, to do the first 2 missions, just go to the marketplace, then northwest, talk to firstmate....something, you''ll end up on Shing Jea Island....

You can go to Shing Jea island and do missions but not get the exp or skill point,

Yeah. A-net fixed it so you can get to the island and do the first 2 missions about a month ago. They also made it possible for the Cantha born chars to do the missions before LA.

I know I will probably look foolish but... a while ago when I tried to get into one of the missions with my Prophecies character, I wasn't allowed in. Was I doing something wrong?????

To get into Zen Daijun, leave Seitung Harbor through the north exit and travel through Jaya Bluffs and Haiji Lagoon. The gate will be open as long as you are not with Canthans, who haven't gotten to that point yet.
