I dont think thats quite right, in the manuscripts (the CH1 manual) it says that before humans there were dragons then they left tyria, i doubt that they could leave the whole world, as far as i can tell tyria is ascalon, kryta, elona and whats left of orr.

Its a good question though, worth something in the lore section

It IS a good question, and I wonder if we'll ever get an "Official" history of the world(for Prophecies, then, later, for Factions, ect). That would be something.

A lot of people on GWO in the lore section believe the world to be called Tyria as well as the the continent in Prohpecies being called Tyria.

How ever i would love to find out the official answer... wonder if we ever will!

Strangely, reading the Factions manual has provided very strong arguments for and against the world being called Tyria.

Although I'm particulary swayed by the argument for the above conclusion. Read the opening line of the Factions Monk discription. It differs from that of the origional. Makes you think it talks of a world and not the continent???

Nothing in the GuildWiki article of Elona/Elonia ever considered it the name of the world, as far as I can remember.
