Just WHAT is farming anyway?
Euo Rael
I'm new to Guild Wars and this forum, but a guy said he made money farming solo in underworld... WTH? Somebody please tell me what farming is and how I do it...
Amity and Truth
What farming is:
Kill things, loot their stuff.
There are special builds to farm certain regions, some are teambased. The basic goal is to get a certain item to drop or to get loads of money - or just for the kicks of it.
How to?
Well as you've found this forum...

Boring. Ba -dum-tish!
Really though, farming is basically killing enemies for gold and loot, and is typically done alone. The troll cave outside Droknar's Forge isan example of an easy farming spot, since it's easy to do alone, and is quite efficient as method of money making.

I'm guessing that it's probably impossible for a level 12 W/N then..?
NikkiIsNub
Probably so. To farm properly you need to get your max armor, do the attribute point quests and unlock a lot of skills. I won't give you a farming build, because if you've found this board you can look at one of the many, many, threads.

Yeah, I was just thinking... Could I farm in the earlier missions? henchmen level 8 and below
waiver
No, henchies mess up drops. Don't worry about farming until your lvl 20.
Euo Rael
How to make money untill then?
MercenaryKnight
Play through the game, do your missions and you will realize when you sell all the items along the way that you'll have quite a bit of money.

Yep. Desert alone, I got about 7k on my monk.

I have no idea about pricing though...
I have a purple bow with something like 13-28 req 9.... Is that any good?

You can check the price check forums for weapon mods. Most items you will get you will sell to merchant(Identify whites before you sell for more gold). If you get lucky and can expert kit off a perfect mod like a vampiric or sundering you can check the price check guide and try to sell around for that much.

I practicaly farmed my warrior to level 20... Start killing Earth Elementals and Grawl in Old Ascalon, once you dont get much xp its time to move on, just do the missions (you will probably be one of the higher levels in those missions, considering no level 20s are there to redo them). Solo these, its possible. Then go either ftom Yaks Bend with a party to Ice Tooth Cave or Run back solo from beacons perch to the cave. Outside are Minotaurs that I soloed to level 16. I'd have to tell you, I was wearing Yaks Bend Armor and was using Armor of Earth (W/E). After that I continued with the missions untill I got in Lions Arch. From there I got a run to Temple of Ages, from there you can go to level 19 minotaurs, I farmed those from level 16 to level 20.
This way you have a pretty efficient way of levelling and earning money at the same time.
Good Luck

If you want to start farming and you're lvl 17 I suggest you start with the lvl1 Mantid Monitors outside Ran Musu Gardens!! If you're feeling daring you could take on the boss there too!
Hmmm...
I shamefully have to admit I do go and kill the lvl1 mantids outside Ran Musu Gardens with my lvl 20 E/N! It's just a bit of fun from time to time. I like to hear them squeal.

Hmmm...

Farming = killing large amounts of enemies solo or in a very small group in order to gain items worth amounts of gold that you can sell for profit.
