WARNING: SORCERER INSTANTLY GIVES THE CEREMONIAL DRAGON MASK in exchange for 250 orbs. There is no chat prompt!!

CURIOSITY COULD LOSE YOU 250 ORBS - DO NOT investigate what the sorcerer MIGHT say.

If you saved a stack or two of orbs for selling this week, you could be shocked to find you have acquired a wasteful second mask.

Would have been a nice place for a little prompt, especially when it was announced that "the imperial supply masters" would be the ones to distribute masks throughout the coming week.

if u come in the middle of the event, the sorcerer wont give you a mask even though you have 250 orbs with you

sorcerer did not give me a mask ethier time to find the Imperial Supply Master Kagno where ever he is :P.

You do know the event ended this morning at 3.amEDT so there isn't rly a way u could come in the middle of it

The emporer gave the mask if you were in the zone at the right time and had 250 orbs in your inventory. This was done automagically and had you spent 10 seconds reading the chat in Shing Jae you would have been well aware of this.

And theres going to be another person giving masks to people who collected 250 orbs for the next week or so.

Same, when I got up this morning I only had my rit left with no mask.
Talked to everyone in Shing jea including the sorcerer and nothing. I still had the 250 orbs in inventory.

yeah during the event.
But Anet said that there is going to be a collector that collects 250 orbs from you and gives you the mask. He will be there till Sunday or so.

The post-event mask giver is an "Imperial Supply Master", not a sorceror.

During the event masks appeared automatically the instant the Emperor mentioned 250 orbs; several people claimed to get multiple masks if they had multiple orb stacks.

My ranger is now proud owner of two masks. I knew it would happen, but transferred the orbs from storage to my character and then promptly forgot about them until later I saw a second mask.

The first day that masks are available will be a special portion of the on-going live event. That special day begins at 07:00 GMT (Midnight PDT, 3:00 a.m. EDT) on July 4th, and ends at 07:00 GMT (Midnight PDT, 3:00 a.m. EDT) on July 5th. Thus, for those in the United States, this special event-within-the-event will take place primarily on July 4th. Please note that a special Jade Wind Orb collector, Imperial Supply Master Kagno, will remain in Shing Jea Monastery for one week after the conclusion of the Dragon Festival. So while the orbs will not longer drop after July 5th at 07:00 GMT (Midnight PDT; 3:00 a.m. EDT), you will continue to have the opportunity to exchange the orbs for a mask for up to a week afterwards.

It's now 17:48 GMT July 5th...... where is Imperial Supply Master Kagno? Anet.. I think you forgot something lol

well.. i got well over 250 extra orbs from the prizes i picked up each event, so a misshap like that wouldnt have bothered me. But i made sure i left them in my storage, Got 6 extra stacks now :O

it mentions that you dont get anymore orb drops after last night, but I got a few this morning while doing missions.

I suspect that they'll be practically free this next week.

Why? EVERYONE AND THEIR MOM has saved up stacks and stacks of them to hopefully squeeze some extragold out of selling to people that didnt save them up during event.

The flaw there....is that the demand for them will be MINIMAL at best, and theres an overabundance of them avialable to buy.

Sold 250 for 3k yesterday and the buyer seemed really happy about the price. Of course others were selling higher, including one selling 100 for 3k. I think there could be a spike near the end...

Sorry I was not able to report back on this for some time.

To clear up....What did happen at the time was when the sorcerers first appeared (before the imp. supply master came) I had about 750 orbs. I went to see what the new additions to town were and was instantly traded a second mask for 250 orbs. It was when the sorcerers first appeared after the Emporer quit coming. I had received my original mask from the Emporer.

Judging by a few visitors after this that didn't get exchanged a second mask automatically, I assume it was just for a short period of time.

Hope all had a great time during the festival!
