Collectors weapons question

If you get a weapon from a collector, are they customised to your current character? or can I pass it along to another character?

No collector weapons are not customized to the character who gets it, the only collector gear that applies to is armor.

Yeah what he said.. Collector stuff is collectable with anyone and you are able to give it to anyone

The only thing different about a collector weapon is that it cannot be salvaged, even to get back any upgrades you put on it.
