hey all, first time post for me but i am an avid reader of this section and a big thanks to everyone who has rekindled my love of the mesmer.

i have been running this build in alliance battles and i have had some very good results mainly due to the inability of players to recognise mesmer hexes

mesmer name- Elvryn Moakes

ineptitue (e)- illusion
images of remorse (factions skill)..i used to use phantom pain- illusion
conjure phantasm- illusion
clumsiness- illusion
blackout- domination
power leak- domination
power drain- inspiration
ether feast- inspiration

fast casting-8 (minor rune)
illusion-15 (major rune)
domination- 9 (minor rune)
inspiration- 9 (minor rune)
+ a major rune of vigor

first the reason as for no sups is because as playing mesmer you need all the health you can as your the easy target. the armour i use is the noble attire +15 when casting spells

this is basically an all round build for anything that tries to attack you or a team mate. what i try to do is use ineptitude first as it has the longest recharge and also causes blind. then i use images of remorse, then clumsiness, then conjure phantasm. this hopefully would cause -135dmg (+ blind), -4 degen or -52 dmg, -92 dmg and -5 degen. then i just spamming till they die or run away and die due to degen.

for caster i use a combination of degen and interupts. if they are attacking aswell i throw in either inept or clumsiness. for monks and tough rangers i use degen then black out. even though blackout is only for 5 seconds you can wand away and hope a team mate is targeting the same person or retreat to a safer place. what i have found sometimes that if i degen a touch ranger then hit them with ineptitude and then black them out they try to use their weapon instead
