i have been asking several people recently about pet training and how to make an elder. the information that i was told is train to make a playfull or aggressive pet and then once it evolves change the training style for the other, whether that be hearty or dire.
i have been training my pet non-stop for the past 3 days or so to get it to elder. i first started out with just the pet being with me to get exp from kills, as is the way you train to become playfull. after it reached lvl 11 it became playfull. then i made a beast master build and started training it using symbiotic bond and protecting call or whatever its called. i just got it to lvl 15 and it became a hearty .
i am honestly confused as to why it became hearty and not elder since i did the training style the way several people have said for me to do.
if someone could answer this question and help me to understand what i did wrong, if anything, so that i may make an elder pet from another pet.
thnx much

I would recommend the other order - raise an Aggressive pet, then switch to not protecting it.
X-DARKFIRE
ok, ill try that.
do you think that the order could really be an issue or do i just have bad luck?

do you think that the order could really be an issue or do i just have bad luck? The order doesn't matter, but consider this: getting hearty is easier. Do you want to find out you need to restart when your pet hits lvl 11 or 15? Getting the hard one done first means less wasted time if something goes wrong with it.
