wtf 6 hours passes three emails sent nothing resolved still banned

muliple emails about the same issue = more time spent on said issue. only email once unless they ask u for more info, etc.

Got home today from school just to find out that I've been ban, I left the game on and my character was just standing there at Cavalon. Got home saw that my game was disconnected, try to log back in and BAM! code=045 said i've breach the code of conduct and that I've been perminately ban. No warning mark, no explanation. Right I'm contacting them via email as to why I've deserved such punishment. Bough GWF two month ago when it was released and got GW just a week ago ($120 CAD), and now to find myself in this situation is very fustrating. Has anyone else getting ban for just standing still?

OK... fortunately i was not one of the accounts that got banned 9accidentally or otherwise)

now i see all these thank yous from people who of "un-banned" which is nice and all but...

supposedly 4000 got banned for "bottin"

last post from gaile stated that roughly 116? where unbanned due to an internal error

as gaile goes on (ntohing against you gaile) she states how she knows that is a low percentage being unbanned but seriousely what i saw was 116 FALSELY BANNED PEOPLE

seriousely and you folks that got unbanned are saying thank you...

wtf is wrong here people you got unjustly banned and your thanking them...

Gaile and support great job fioxing the mistake... but come on now

this goes way beyond a sorry for the mistake

WHAT is being done to prevent this
HOW do you plan on giving back the time you STOLE from those players
WHAT about all the people who dont read these forum poor little Johny is banned and crying in his room because all he loves to do is play GW and doesnt read the fansites...

I've gotten the same message since I got home at around 5.
Although it doesn't say I've breached the Code of Conduct, just that I've been suspended for 'inappropriate language' which still confuses me.
I have around 14 hours until I can play again.
I'm guessing it's a 24 hour ban, but I get the same Code=045 as you, just different wording?
Makes no sense to me, I sent out a 'ticket' to support asking wtf was up, so, hopefully I get a response. If I am indeed at fault, ok then I'll wait, if not, I just wasted an entire day wondering why I've been banned for absolutely no reason.

It seems more people are getting permanent bans than simple suspensions.
This is confusing.
We should have seen something like this coming as soon as Kisu replicated himself 15 times in one server and the gifts neglected to fall after the celestial orbs neglected to appear for the final battle.
Wintersday was never like this.
I feel a sudden urge to abandon Factions and return to Tyria where I belong, haha.

anet is having a bad couple of months here

1. GW:F CE is delayed approximately a week. Many players who had paid good money for this were entirely locked out of Factions, despite having free access during the preview event.

2. First Dragon Festival event doesn't go off, as it is interefered by the mini-quest announcements. Last event is seriously bugged, with most districts unable to win.

3. Hundreds (thousands?) of people falsely perma-banned.

hmm so let me get this straigh, from my point of understand is that they have a bot on their side the goes around banning people because it thinks that those people are bots?

My banned guildie has now also been unbanned, it only took 45 mins for her. Anet seems to be working fast and doing their best to fix the problem, and that is all anyone can ask. Bugs and errors are allways to be expected when dealing with computers, and were this not the case I would be out of a job. All you can do is cross your fingers and hope that the next big glitch is a long time in coming.

I went to support page and cant find out how to email them... I also went afk and got lucky title... I dont know the first thing about bots... i've had factions for like 50 days now and just got prophacies a week ago and now im banned .... Can someone please tell me how to email them.. Thank you... Around 6 hours since i have been banned. No reply yet from support. I hope every fair player gets his account back.

yeh this is outrageous, i've put so many hours into the game and like 5 sets of 15k armor and expsensive wep, I play to the point where I fail my college midterm and I don't remember the last time i've pissed someone off. I hope this is some sort of mistake on their end. very fustrated.

this is why i prefer not to take part in holidays that arent taking place during real holidays!

It was either do this, or don't ban bot users at all.

I suppose some people just can't take one for the team. Ban me for a week if it means you get all these botters, I don't care.

Ive been sitting here, with nothing to do cause my x-box is old, being banned from guild wars permanently for absolutely no reason at all... is anyone else still banned or just recently got banned?

I think those numbers are off a bit. Out of 115 people, at least 3 are in my alliance...what are the odds of that? And I recall another person saying that several guilds in his alliance had members banned. One of the people in my alliance that got banned was in a teamspeak server with several others that got banned at the same time.

There's 3 or 4 members of my Alliance banned, however, in my specific guild? I have no idea. I wouldn't be surprised if I wasn't the only one out of 60-odd members.

4,000 bans seems like quite an understatement, let alone 115 corrections.

ok wtf i never use a bot or did anything wrong ive even given ppl free greens and golds for no reason im still banned without any idea why this isnt right
