extra storage and char slots

Ive been off GW the past 3/4 days and when i came back on i was at shing jea monastary and some one was going on about there being extra storage spaces added? is this BS or is it really gonna happen? if so when?

also
When will anet be adding the purchasable character slots? or is this still hush hush? i know they said summer but have they mentioned anything else?

and btw i tried to search but its down

yes to Factions and merged accounts getting a storage tab for rare/common crafting materials (34 slots) 1 slot for each material fixed no mix and match

should happen in a few weeks

I sent an email to ANet and got this reply:

"Hello Ariana,

Thank you for contacting us regarding Guild Wars. Unfortunately this feature is not yet available. This option is expected to implemented sometime this summer but the exact date has not yet been released.

Please keep an eye on www.guildwars.com for the release of more information concerning the extra character slots.
