Mostly +15% always weapons have a negative modifier. That decreases their monetary worth. A +15% always fiery dragon with a negative wont be much more than 400K.

ty3c's sword I'll put around 300K. It could have been 400+ with a lower requirement.

First of all, his sword is a dragon sword... which is probably one of the rare ones... 15%>HP <~ Best most preferable mod. 27HP probably go for like 15k-35k these days also.

Besides the mods you have to take into account about the graphics/pictures for the swords because some are rarer then others. If someone has these same mods on say a fellblade or crystaline sword then you would know the price of the sword will be going for at least 400k.

The factors that determine the prices of swords are picture/graphics, req, damage mods, max damage or not, and extra mods.

i have to knock your quote on one perspective ... if a warrior doesnt have 12 in swordsmanship he wont be hitting 100% of the damage so the requirement should not be a weakening factor here. I mean ... what kind of n00b runs with a 400K sword and uses 9 swordsmanship? really? use the calaculator on this site it wil help to those who havent yet.

EDIT : a 15-22 sword with 9 swords does ...
Result: Weapon does 11.57-16.96 damage.

can anybody say wuuuusssss

So...? You can still have 12+ swordmanship and use a req. 9 weapon...It's not like if you had 16 swordsmanship, the exact same sword with a 12 req. would do more than one with a 9 req. They would both be equal.

Ok a low requirement would not hurt you, so there is no reason not to get one. So yes, it does hurt the value, just does not hurt the quality of the sword.

I prefer low requirement items because they're more flexible. I guess this is only for ranger, since damage for them isn't as important as warriors. For example, I sometimes knock down my marksmanship for wilderness survival/beast mastery if I'm spirit spamming, since the team probably wants me to have strong effective spirits rather than a few more points of damage. So a low req weapon helps there (if your attribute is lower than the required attribute on the weapon, the dmg you do is reduced dramatically in case some peopel are confused as to what I'm talking about).

not worth 400k. I'd pay max 300k for this if I really wanted. The req is to high for a 400k offer. Just to give an idea I sold a 15% always -10 armro 8 req for 400k. I'd value this at 250-300k
