Icy Dragon Sword - nerfed?

Today me and my guild mates were talking about IDS and some of us are interesed about getting it. So I decided that in the evening I'll go and do a few runs and try to get it.

Later that day I was in PvP arena and the Warrior had a IDS, and he said he bought it because Anet nerfed Ice Imp Cave in Mineral sprins so that now it drops really rearly, most of the time it will never drop.

Now I want some advice from IDS farmers, are they really nerfed so they are even rarer? And how much would a normal IDS be worth. im boulding up a warrior and want some nice looking weapons for him.

15 k, and drops rate less the more you farm.

Think it took me like 15-20 runs to get 1, which was like 2-3 hours, all for an item worth 15k, your better off farming 15k and buying one off a guy that farmed it.

Man I'm glad I got mine when they first came out, only took me 2 runs. Now to get Sskai to drop his damn sword.

a couple weeks ago some dude pm'd me asking to show him how to do a Ranger solo IDS run... as i had posted my build in a thread a long, long time ago when IDS's were 60K+... anyways since i was bored i showed him how to do it... i had 4 IDS's drop that run... obviously i was lucky that run... but i really doubt that the IDS drop rate was nerfed

I remember when those crazy things came out during christmas time and people thought they were for a limited time only. Sold about 5 swords ranging in 70-90k per really just depended on how bad those people wanted them. Easy money

Constant farmers of the same area declare those areas "nerfed" quite often. They sit and farm the same area 2-5hours everyday for a week and notice they arent dropping anymore so they say its "nerfed". No, it isnt, they just overfarm the hell out of it.
Did 2 runs, got 2 of them. Had not been there in months. Gave the sword to guildies who wanted a blue fire sword skin and let the guy with me have the other. Those runs are not exactly hard either.
Not nerfed, just dont overfarm.

Like the other said, its faster to farm 15K via junk drops and buying one.

Nerfed eh? so thats why i got one on the first ice imp of the first run. O.o
