Even though I think this would be incredibly difficult to implement, I think it would be interesting if players could somehow use their other characters as henchmen in PvE. Assume I have character B already created but I am currently playing character A; I could go to my Guild Hall, for instance, and "hire" character B as a henchman.
Like traditional henchman, player henchmen would consume gold, loot-drops, and experience while adventuring. However, player henchmen would not benefit from adventuring; the consumed gold, loot-drops, and experience would not be given to the characters.
Problems certainly arise with artificial intelligence. To simplify these concerns, players could set an archetype for their characters to follow while acting as a henchman, such as Brawler, Vile, or Minion Master. The player henchmen would use the skills set in the character's skill bar, similar to the mirror match in Prophecies. I know this is difficult and needs to be further fleshed out if it were to actually happen, but what do people think?

The Doppliganger knows how to somewhat use your skillbar if its not rigged with useless sacrifice and spirit spells. He does good if you actually try to face him fair. I could see this as a cool idea.

I think you should just be able to customize the henchies. You cant make then have an uber leet build since there AI isnt that good.
