What happens to a players account when it is banned from GW?

The reason why I ask is because a guildie of ours has had his account permanently banned from GW, and he still shows up on our Guild Roster….. so….. What happens if the banned person is the GUILD LEADER? They just always stay the Leader and never get bumped from the guild????

That doesn’t make sense to me, so I want to find out……

After 3 (I think it's 3) months of not logging in a guild leader is demoted and the senior officer is made leader.

There has been a huge amount of people who got banned, many "innocent" as well, there may be some glitch or misunderstanding.

Not in this case, the ban was for a good reason.... He was buying / selling GW stuff on ebay and he got caught. He sent a ticket to GW and they told him after investigation he is in violation of code of conduct.

I am just wondering why if they PERMA ban you they dont remove your stuff from GW

Granted but they basically told him, no more account for you.... this was a week ago and he is still listed in our guild roster.....

it seems they can *lock* an account but not *delete* it without more work besides someone might be off for 6 months and be provably innocent with an account gone when they came back.

Well at least that explaination makes a little more sense. Too bad his money doesn't ger divieded up to the people in the guild

BTW I dont want this to come off as though I dont care about this guy, he was a cool guildie, but he knew what he was doing....

Wow. This might be the first person's account that I've read about that actually owned up to the banning. Not to say the other posters are not innocent, just that I haven't seen this.

Well to be fair to Anet I think there are a lot of people out there doing things they shouldn't. Why do you think buying gold on Ebay is so popular? It wouldn't be if there was no market for it.

I don't think jumping on someone for a first offence is a good thing, but if you are buying millions on Ebay that is unfair to the other players who ligitimatly work hard for their GW gold.
