Hmm dunno if this should be in Q&A or Riverside.
First off the question, DO you think that Character from different chapters will carry over to the next chapters? (I.E will we be able to take our Sins and Rits to C3 if we buy it and link it up?)
I personally think that, yes, they will otherwise that would be horrible marketing, and Anet has been doing pretty well at marketing and making enough monmey to keep the servers up..
I would also like to see Gaile or Alex in here to give me a more official word on this..if they could.

of course we would thats a no brainer, theyd lose many sales if they didnt, i wouldnt worry to much about that. What i would like to see is our characters dying of old age then his son taking his armor with a new look but you keep the armor and money and weapons and then they could go into the futures which gaile has answered twice in LA on my idea of laser guns!!

Just like your Prophecies characters were able to travel to Cantha and experience factions content, your Prophecies and Factions characters will be able to cross over to the next campaign. As long as you link your accounts, every campaign will bring you new content for all of you characters.

I think the question was if you can make assassins start in Chapter 3 or not. Since you can't have an assassin or a ritualist born in Tyria. Can just the 6 Core Classes start in Chapter 3 or will the assassins and ritualists be able to do that to?

the 6 core + whatever new classes are created will be able to be started in the new chapter.

we can go over to the new area as a sin or rit, but if you can't create a sin or rit as a chapter 3 character.

Errr .... I take it, "new content" doesn't include new skills and armor for non-"core" professions?!

This is precisely why I only make core professions. They have not voiced any upgrades/improvements for the Assassin or Ritualist in Chapter 3.

A and Rt already have a smaller skillset, in Chapter 3 it will be compounded if Arenanet doesn't any skills for the noncore classes.

About this linking stuff. How come when we link the account we lose out on Character slots as oppose to if we kept them Seperate???

I am sure the new content Alex is refering too will include new skills and elites for the Assassin and Ritualist. However you will not be able to make an assassin or Ritualist in the new area. I believe that is what Alex ment. In order to make an assassin or Ritualist you will need to purchase Factions.

ANet have previously quite clearly explained otherwise. They said each campaign would contain stuff (skills, armor, weapons, ...) for the two new professions introduced with that campaign, plus the six "core" professions present in all campaigns. It may be my interpretation only, but I understood this as "these professions only".

1 Can someone point to a thread or quote on this?
2 I can see how easily you can interpret this to mean no more information for the Ritualist or Assassin (That’s all they wrote position).
3 Just because they leave information out on how they might add additional information for the Ritualist or Assassin does not preclude them from doing so when a new chapter is released. (That’s not all they wrote position) Easly enough they could add a new Skills guy for the Ritualist or Assassin in any Canthan City. They could add Boss Monsters Etc to the Jade Sea or Kurzak Forests etc. There are myriad possibilities here, until Anet announces that this will be it for the Ritualist or Assassin; I will not believe so.

How more obvious can you get here?

Good Grief ANET is not GOD and their word is subject to change. They are business people with a company that relies on good customer inclusion and feedback.
