Receiving items/weapons through questing rather then waiting for the item drop
Something different then farming the same area 500 times to get a wepon.
Not for EVERY QUEST but just the challenging ones, that take a long time to complete.
Has anyone noticed how receiving nice skins for weapons is mainly based off drop rate, so we all find ourselves completing a certain farming spot or mission waiting for that drop.
Does anyone remember how in prophecies some of the first quests which you did gave you weapons?
I think that this approach should be reviewed and revisited by Anet.
The drop system is well established now, Weapons and items drop according to luck.
I Like this system but do think it limits itself and makes people a touch bored.
GOOD EXAMPLE
For completing factions we received a nice green, which was nice seeing that it was not based off drop. Could you imagine how annoying it would be if shiro droped items and people had to keep retrying untill they got the item they wanted or others missed out?
I’m not mouthing off drops just wanting other ways in which to obtain items and weapon skins. It might also influence others to see a point to questing as it runs quite dry, you do a quest receive some gold and exp and that’s basically as far as it goes.
BAD EXAMPLE
I enjoyed completing some of the harder quests like titan source but found that the rewards for quests at this stage were a joke. Okay so 50,000 exp is a big deal but I’m already at level 20 so it’s not much of a reward unless I need the skill points. What about an exclusive weapon just for completing the series of epic quests nothing that has different stats just a nice skin exclusive for that quest and hard work.
I could think of some names, Glints bow, titan sword and so forth.
In conclusion make items/weapons available through other methods such as questing rather then keeping it all drop reliant,which would be based off the difficulty and such of the quests done of course.
