Why want people req8 so badly? whats the deal?
I Got an Fire staff req8 but still my attribute is 16 cuz when its higher it gives more damage.
so when ur warrior and got sword req12. it doesnt matter cuz its more cuz everyone wants to do more damage, am i missing something?

Only that it allows for more flexibility of builds. You may have a build where you can only afford 8 points in that attribute, in which case your weapon would be more useful with a req. 8, than a req. 12.

And you can do more damage.
For example if you have a req 8 sword and your points are 12 in swordsmanship then you would be doing more damage than if you had 8 points etc.

Actually, the example of Boxterduke is true, not an urban legend. It just doesn't have anything to do with the topic at hand. The topic is about differing levels of weapon requirements, not attribute levels.

My monk used to be Mo/El and I used a Fire Damage Weapon, the Req 8 comes in handy, then I can concentrate my other attb's in Healing / Smite
