I am purchasing Guild Wars Factions in a bit, But before I do, I would like ot ask if an 82845 Intel graphics card that is up to date, would work with this game.

Thank you, Kam.

Is 82845 Intel the controller or an integrated card?

If you have "Intel Extreme 3D" graphics, then no you need to buy a video card because the game will hardly run at all. That is what i845's IGP is usually called.

A good AGP card that would work out well. If you drop lower in price the cards start to become fractionally as fast.

Your going to have to buy a new video card, unless you can stand an almost constant stream of lag when fighting, etc. I have yet to see any newer onboard video able to play Guild Wars. Chances are it is going to lag like hell. Best thing to do is simple install Guild Wars and test it. If it doesn't lag, then your fine. If it lags bad when you start fighting or moving around alot, chances are you are going to need a new graphics card.

You didnt state how old your machine was but have 512 of memory also.
ATI 9850 - Good if you don't have much to spend

Now, what I don't understand, is why you put the ATI X850 under decent budget and the ATI X1600 in Better Budget. The ATI version of the X850 has much higher becnhmarks and is more expensive then the ATI version of the X1600. So, wouldn't it be more logical for the X850 to be in his better budget and the X1600 to be in his decent budget?

@Kamaron: Plesae tell me the model of your Mobo, and what your price range is your are willing to spend. Also, what do you prefer NVidia/ATi?

Heh, and on an extremely low, dirt is taller than you, budget... like if you bought your system from Walmart, like me, and only have PCI slots, an ATI 9250 works very well. Whatever you decide though, you definitely need better than onboard graphics. I played Prophecies for the first 4 months with onboard graphics and I crashed more times than a drunk midget driving a Cadillac. Since video card, no problems at all.
