its wierd how this works. when they first made the annoucement that they were going to sell extra slots, i was all excited and wanted to buy an extra 2 slots. but as time went on i thought to myself that i didnt really want to drag another 2 characters through the game.

Psh, none. I shared a regular account with 4 slots, so I only got 2. NO problems, I know what to keep and what to get rid of. No point in holding a 1000 items if you're not going to sell them.

Thinking about getting three, I feel like making another ranger (male) for some reason. Right now, its just two slots for me. Bring back my ele and a pvp slot.

Pay for character slots, yeah right. I've been against the idea from the first time it was mentioned and refuse to pay for something they ought to (and do) give to us free when we buy the game. The game is more than expensive enough to handle 8 character slots per account without having to pay extra for them.

What I would LOVE to pay for is MERGING my TWO accounts.... I ABSOLUTELY HATE MOVING STORAGE FROM ONE ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER.... can't there be a Guild storage that can be accessed via password or something so we are not always trying to beg people to move stuff...
The storage expansion was weak....what a smart way to encourage buying more character slots - most of us are not buying them for characters but for more storage =.=

I have played for more than 3500 hours across two accounts over the last year. Some of that is afk, of course, but assume at least 1750 hours.
I have 2 accounts with both areas, which cost me a total of around $200 US.
So in all I have paid about 11.5 cents U.S. per hour to play Guild wars so far.
I am so not feeling ripped off.
I am happy for the people who make GW to make more money so that there will be more content. Paying for more slots is part of that and I don't mind.

Taken, that's just.. right. No monthy fee but hell, indeed having a new campaign every 6 months costs the same price. However... I'm addicted. Yeah I'm going to buy 3 extra slots. 2 for finally having a mesmer and an ele, and 1 to have again a pre-searing char - I just love this place.

Adopting a wait and see attitude until C3 to see if the PvE is worth anything at all before i decide to throw more money at it to buy more slots so that i can endure the cutsences with the bad voice acting all over again....

I'm not buying any. It's been cheaper for me to buy a second account; in the UK if I shop around on the internet I can get both chapters for £28 (about $33). That way I get an extra xunlai, 6 slots, and ability to be online with both accounts at the same time (have run myself around tyria, be in 2 different guilds, other advantages).

If you are going to use the new slots as mule you are better off just picking up a prophecies and searing them. My mule account has runes, weapons, the 50g, plus anything else I think the a new charater will need. Much more convienent that a single account mule. I roll a PvE toon go to the Hall trade the stuff and that new toon is ready to go, storage is open, good starter weapons, all the runes and bags it needs, all to easy.

Probably none, but that's not guaranteed. I should be able to get by until the two additional slots accompanying Chapter 3. I don't have a particular urge to create more characters; I've made enough as it is (and, obviously, most have been deleted).

Anyway I'll be buying at least 2 more slots maybe 3 as Ive currently got 1 x male and 1 x female assassin
(was seeing which char model I prefered)

I'm buying ZERO, yep ZERO, got enough room already for items, and got 3 open slots, I dont need a slot for every class lol, you get the same amount of skills you get from primary class with secondary class, so dont see need to have each and every class. AS for me, I gave up selling good items, I dont feel like selling flatbow req 8 15%^50% for 10K, I feel that it is sad to try and sell something 10K with perfect stats. And I only save items that I know for sure are worth 60K+. I say they give you good amount of character slots (4 for 8 classes, and 1 PvP is good enough that extra one, is a gift I say), as for storage, pft dont have the time to goto every zone dist 1 and spam my weapon for money anymore, everyone has perfect 15%^50% i think, because stupid weaponsmith makes em, I want to strangle him now.
Anyways ZERO for me, I will buy the new expansions (which I think give you more character slots + other stuff, doubt chapter 3 have new class, assassin was really a warrior class lol cept you can spawn near someone, oo big deal), but it better be good, or I'ma find all the cons(which a lot if I dont like) and beat the pros, lol. When I say good I mean good as in AT LEAST 35% OF LAND NOT FOR LVL 20s (factions is kind of ghetto I think, doesnt feel like a MMORPG because you cant improve in factions and eventually solo something, thats a true MMORPG, like everquest at least 35% game soloable, all the good RPGS have 35% soloable, heck maybe 75% final fantasy was best RPG ever I think, and they dont make 90% land NOT SOLOABLE like FACTIONS)

Before GWF has been released, I wanted to buy 4 but now NONE.
SIN and ME are not that useful and welcome by a group in most of the missions toward the end of GWF as well as Elite Missions LOL.
I will have to wait after GW3 will be released to make the decision.
I really want to see if Anet can be able to make an ELITE MISSION that is required all available professions for effectively completing the mission.
That way everyone in a group can SEE and LEARN the power as well as the effectiveness of each profession.
