2007 Dragon Festival

I was just wondering if there would be a 2007 Dragon Festival. I would think that it would happen every year? Post all of your ideas nad comments.

i'd bet that whatever the summer event is next year it'll be based out of Nightfall, and it'll be themed similarly

Nope. It will be based off of Campaign 4, which should be out by then.

I thought you'd know what I'd meant.....all the seasonal events will be based off the most current iteration, with the theme being based off it

Because they're (Anet) are supposed to come out with a sequel every 6 months. So, if my math is correct, by the time a new summer festival comes around (1 year = 12 months = 2 sequels) number 4 should be out.

Well, whatever the festival, it would be nice to have a closing ceremony. There used to be closing ceremonies, but this one was non-existant.

I'd rather the time and effort was spent implementing things in the game that we've wanted/needed for ages and can use all the time rather than pointless week long events.
Given a choice between allowing reconnections to a mission after error 7, an auction house etc or some mask thats essential;ly useless and a few gold sink games I know which I'd opt for.

gaile mentioned why there wasn't a closing ceremony, its in regards to players in different timezones not being able to attend because of work, schoo, or sleep etc.
guild wars is a global game and as such doesn't want to play favorites by doing a closing ceremony the last 2 hours of the event. they instead choose to do a day/week long ceremony.
