Is ANet working on lag?

Hope so, because I JUST lag-sold a quest bow in Pre. The Fortitude one, to Vencel in Regent Valley. Hit button to sell a common bow, nothing happened, thought"maybe I didnt click" clicked again, then WHAP! both items gone, on unrecoverable. VERY ticked, as I had intended to use it for pulling in post.

That is usually user side lag. Has happenede to me before. Just 2 days ago I sold 107 ecto to the merchant this way, form a lag spike. Also to be noted, it was the only spike I had that evening, so I doubt it was nothing ANet could handle. As of right now, to my knowledge, they are no issues, aside from the accidental bans.

I almost never lag in games, it may have been a spike. However, I feel that a cnfirmation dialog(similar to the one used when selling a high value item of ~100g value) for quest rewards, would be an excellent addition to prevent this from happening to someone else in the future.

yes it was you and only you.

how many times have you seen the warning not to click again if nothing happens instantly?

how many times have you seen *PUT THE SPECIAL ITEMS IN THE BELT POUCH FOR SAFETY?*

how many times have you seen put an unsellable quest item as a protection against just that happening.

sorry but being super careless/impatient doesnt rate adding another layer of clicks for comfirmation to everybody else

Never
Never, and it WAS in the belt pouch
Never, but wouldnt matter, because I didnt have any
No, not careless/impatient(hell, Im probably one of the most patient people you could meet(try taking care someone with Alzheimers for 10 years). No, I only tap the button, as I was worried if I press it, it may dounble click, like holding down a keyboard key. I thought maybe I hadnt made contact, which is why the second click. And just how is "adding another layer of clicks for comfirmation to everybody else" such a bad thing, considering its for items people may want to hold on to for awhile, as well as it being only one extra click, for items of some signifigance. Cant understand why you think its so awful to be have a little extra protection.

After reviewing your screenshot, it is almost, with no doubt in my mind, that it was you and not ANet. I run on a single business line with much higher marks than your connection and still have the occasional spike. That is all it was, a spike. It happens, it doesn't mean your connection sucks, it is just bad luck.

Anyone got a Ranger Quest bow for sale? Or dont want to be ranger, but willing to run mission? Willing to pay much more than its worth!

did you remove the big green check mark over *beltpouch* so it and everything in it would not be seen by the merchant?

it works, same for the bags.

i only can sell by moving an item into the back pack and many times in the moving i went oops better put that back glad i didnt sell it

Thought I had, usually thats where I keep "the goodies" Its off now, thats for sure! lol But I think it would be good to have the confirmation on quest rewards, as theyre sometimes difficult to get. Still feel kinda bad about it.

how about at least having everything but the backpack unchecked by default with a warning that anything you add a check to can be sold from and you might lose valuables?

I'm glad they added that check for selling anything equipped. It saved me recently. I was hitting sell again and again, and then it popped up "are you sure you want to sell Elswyth's Recurve Bow?". Uh. No I'm not sure! So at least your equipped items are safe, but you should still put an unsellable quest item between your precious stuff and the junk

Like I said, I didnt have any, and dont want to have to drop a quest item if I find a REALLY good item(unless its a redoable quest, and AFAIK, there arent any).
Edit: WOOOT! Got to run quest with someone who had a purple, and didnt need quest bow! X100!!!
