Where did you lose survivor?

On old characters I'm sure you don't remember, but on any newly created character I can't help noting when my first death was.

I lost mine in a very embarrassing way. It was in pre-searing. Now before you jump to conclusions, of course I didn't get killed by a scale or something. I didn't die at all from mobs. What happened was I was in the catacombs, and I got to those traps. I was a ranger with a pet, but I remembered from playing my necro that you need something to trigger them. So, I thought, maybe my pet can do that. I edged towards it, and stood on the very edge, hoping that my pet would walk in front. He did, and the explosion of it took me out, instant death. Survivor lost before I was even out of pre.

I didn't bother restarting, and I actually got enough XP without any further deaths to get the first level of survivor (just the 1 death), but I preferred the freedom of not caring. As soon as you die once you don't have to be afraid of it!

So where did you lose yours, if you remember?

I was just like a few more kils from my title..... I was in the mountin Troll cave when I kinda Lagged and got to close lol

I was fighting some Naga Ritualist boss outside Zen Daijun. 480 damage from a spirit rift...

My rit was doing the second dragon festival, I got to close and the grasp decided that a hot looking rit was more fun to beat on than a warrior.

My ele got nailed exploring the island and I saw the nifty winding bridge, little did I realize that the skulls liked it also.

Bukdek Byway...my assassin was looking to cap Palm Strike for a bit more xp before rank two of Survivor. Lagged...henches aggro'd an extra group...Mr Kenshi wiped me all over the floor.

512 the first time, 480 the second time. i gave up on survivor after 3 restarts

Must be due to the dreaded Heal Sig + Frenzy combo... I've never been hit for more than 200-something from that Rit boss...

Necro died at 136k faction in a lag spike during the 'defend the chef' quest, or w/e it's called

Stupid Sparring with the Elements. The Eles spiked me and my Monk hench didn't heal me...I got rezzed again and died so that the Monk hench could laugh.

I went afk a bit past the portal to Minister Cho's Estate, and a roaming patrol ended up killing me. I wasn't going for survivor on that character, but that's where it was lost.

Nope, was playing a monk. Still had starting armor though, was holding out until I hit mainland to grab max armor. Wasn't smart, but I'm cheap.

Level 19, 500exp to go. Was doing a quest on mainland with a PUG. I was last one alive and I started running. Before I could log out, I lagged, died. Boy, I was furious.

I was soooooo pissed. I was 936 experience away from getting Indomitable Survivor title while going out to cap random elites in Archipelagos for the 5K experience bonus from each one. I was fighting Keykey Stormrey's group when both of my healer henchmen aggroed a group of Oni without telling me. My character was set up for boon prot and all of a sudden, my healers started taking damage and I couldn't cast Rof or Guardian on them. I'm like, WTF? Then they died. Suddenly I saw Shadow Shroud on myself, and I'm like, "Well crap," since my hex removal was Holy Veil. I started running off in the direction we came from and tried mapping back to Cavalon, but I was too slow.

936 experience away. Sigh.

I lost mine in Shing Jea arena for my monk. I actually forgot that those deaths count...

My ranger got beat up by Panaku. Stupid training thing, I messed up a combo and he killed me.

Mesmer: Got spiked out in Zen Daijun by the 2 ranger, 2 necro combo near the second miasma patch. Henchies failed me there.

Monk: Tin Dao Kaineng. 298 Spirit Rift is no fun.

Assassin: I was level 3, and I thought a couple of level 2 wussy Nagas would go down easy. Not really. Not at all.

Double damage is a killer. Period. That stupid Ritualist Bossmob in Canthan Tutorial got my Survivor as well.

I was "mildly" pissed at that time. My second survivor approach got bombed by an Assassin bodyblocking me to death in Vizunah. Mobs were close and also close to death. I just knew my char would die from the soul explosion and wanted to get away. And that fricking Assassin just stood there, spouting and spitting insults left and right and bodyblocked me.

I was extremely pissed. And gave up on survivor that very day. Because you simply can't skip Vizunah and you're allways dependent upon the second team which most of the time plays very... very VERY poorly.

I got to post this (off topic). I got Masters Reward on my warrior (AoE axe :P), with the other team of all Henchmen. Apparently they can be better than people in that mission.

Oh btw, my necro... probably from when I couldn't figure out those dam trap things in the Catacombs (so you can use Animate Bone Horror from a distance can you?)

Warrior, umm... can't remember. Maybe the Charr?

There are corpses on the other side of the trap, when you create a bone horror it runs to you and triggers the trap.

Surprising to see that everyone only plays Factions. :\

My ranger (who has first rank), was at 313k xp when I died first. I was just outside Breaker Hollow about to go cap Trapper's Focus. I hit a lag spike and boom log back on with 1 death. I didn't even see him die the first time.

My mesmer (also with first rank), was a newly declared survivor when I decided to get run to Beacon's. I went afk at the zone in Deldrimor Bowl and come back to find like 10 ettins standing over my corpse.

I'm thinking if you want the final rank in survivor you can never go afk outside a town and have a good internet connection (which I don't).
