If you are tired of using those secondary damage skills while 55ing then this thread is for you. As an echo55 you can deal more damage and risk less interruptions while farming trolls than with any other build. Echo55ing requires experience and timing, but when it is mastered you will be able to farm those trolls and avicara braves in half the time.

The first step is to have a 55 monk ready to go. The monk must have all the tattoo armor with superior runes. You must also have the Totem axe along with your Grim Cesta.

Your Attribute Points should look like this:

Your skill bar should look like this:

Those skills in order from left to right:

1. Protective Spirit
2. Healing Breeze
3. Shield of Judgement (elite)
4. Archane Echo (mesmer)
5. Essence Bond
6. Blessed Aura
7. Balthazar's Spirit
8. Mending

Now, with this build you are ready to practice the Echo55 build. Remember, this build is only good for the avicara and trolls in and around the troll cave near Droknar's Forge.

When you first zone to outside the North entrance of Droks you will cast Mending and Balthazar's Spirit. Start moving towards the avicara birds but do not aggro. When your energy is back to 49 you will then cast Essence Bond and Blessed Aura. You should now have more than 25 energy still left in reserve.
Get near the Avicara or Trolls in that area without aggroing and cast Protective Spirit and then Archane Echo immediately. Run into the group and aggro them. As soon as you get the energy cast Shield of Judgement, followed immediately by Healing Breeze.
The Healing Breeze serves two purposes now. It keeps you alive, and acts as a timer for the echo of Shield of Judgement. As soon as you see Healing breeze begin to blink you need to cast the Shield of Judgement Echo- then Healing Breeze.
If you wait to long, the echo of <SOJ> will end (remember there is no warning and it lasts exactly 20 seconds)
Now you have another full <SOJ> enchantment which will outlast all non-boss avicara and trolls. Make sure to maintain Protective Spirit and Healing Breeze like any other 55monk.
If you accidently aggro more enemies while all this is going on - Fear Not!
The original Shield of Judgement will be recharged at almost exactly the same time as the echo runs out. Recast it and watch those trolls drop their goodies.
Killing Krogg Smushh with the 55echo is also made easier but you must make sure to time your second casting of Archane echo between his hits, or it will be interrupted.

Well, I guess that about sums it up. I came up with this build all by myself. So, if it has already been posted then I am sorry for wasting this thread. I doubt that it has though since I have never seen or heard of anyone using it.

It will take a while to get used to it. Once you do you will never go back to using Zealot's Fire. I know I won't.

Drop Blessed Aura and put in Zealot's Fire. This is supposed to be a pro guide, yes? Pro's count adrenalin, so you dont "need" mantra of resolve - good call there [though I would still use it]. In the trolls you dont need Essence and Spirit. You can add another damager.

^^

Not everyone counts adrenaline so meticulously...I just let them whack me like 6-8 times and throw out a decoy enchant, tons of Savage Slash's hit me and don't affect any of my crucial skills. I mean, look, he has like 4 of them to throw out...just recast mending/Balth/Essence/Blessed so that they waste their Savage Slash.

You should get 16 smiting instead of 15.. >_>
Edit:
Also on another note, if you need to use SoJ 2 times then you aint really doing it faster than the normal SoJ + Zealots Fire Mo/W. When i Troll (or Mino farm), then i use PS, HB, ZF, SoJ, Bonettis, Blessed A, Mending, Balthazars Spirit.

Bonettis work as anti interupt and energy management if facing few enemys. Then with Zealots Fire on me i spam Prot spirit + Breeze much as i can without scattering the enemys.. Doing this should Lay down the group before SoJ runs out at the best, or if you used Bonettis a little too much, then a few extra blows of Zealots should do the rest..

So overall then the typical Mo/W will have better survive ability and higher dmg output than this.. This aint bad, but typical Mo/W seems easyer to work with..
