A Soul Reaping version of Vengance would be pretty cool, as long as it doesn't incure more DP, but as a normal rez or something that brings them to life for good, I think it would be overpowered.

well one of the concepts before was to basically a necro rez, but make the ally work like one of your minions, degen be involved too, but blood of the master could heal them aswell. This idea is cool, but how do they go from undead to alive again ?

this would work like the normal resurrect but with the incurred penalties with in the time limit, if you still think its too powerful, could had a life sacrifice 10 to 20%

Would be a really cool guild battle to watch, Have it make a ghost like you see in UW, and while the ghost lives the targeted emery from which it spawns. Have those effects, or worse you have to kill off the ghost before you res that ally. Then you could use the standard necro spell to heal it like unholy guardian suggested.

Another idea along the same lines, and with more of an idea towards Anet's idea of balance:
Animate Ally - 25 energy, 3 cast, 60 sec recharge - Death Magic
Elite Spell. Exploite target ally corpse to create a level 1...20 ghoul of your fallen companion to fight for you. The ghoul's health and attribute points depend on the level of the ghoul, and are subject to the runes and attibute point distribution of the ally before death. The ghoul uses the skills the ally had selected, except for resurrect and animation skills which are disabled for the ghoul. While thus animated, the ally's corpse may not be the target of a resurrection spell. Death of the ghoul does not contribute to the animated ally's death penalty, and does not leave an exploitable corpse. You may only have one Animated Ally at a time.
That'd be a hoot, basically creating a henchman out of your dead buddy for a little while.
Never going to happen, of course. But fun to think about.

Otherwise... it wouldn't be much fun for the player to be stuck with an unraisable character while the ghoul runs around.
