Hey all, I've been spending a lot of time lately trying to get the top honor for mapping Tyria. I am currently at 94.1%. The next (and last level i think) is at 95%.
I was checking out some maps at Guild Wiki the other day and noticed that someone had explored the island south of Perdition Rock. Does anyone know how you get to this island?
Also, the final 5% of my mapping has been a real pain so far. If anyone knows of any especially difficult or somewhat hidden mapping area, please post them here.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide....

The island you're referring to houses the 'body count' arena accessible in Team Arena or Random Arena battles. During the Factions PvP preview all top-end arenas were moved to their own map - the Battle Isles - so unfogging this arena became impossible, much like it would be impossible for you to open up the Ascalon Arena now if you character is already above level 10.
The reason the island is unfogged is that it was possible to unfog it before the update. If you look closely, you will find other like areas on the Tyrian map: the former 'Competitive Arenas' outpost south of Lion's Arch; the former 'Team Arenas' outpost west of Droknar's Forge; and the arenas at Henge of Denravi (called Fort Kroga at some point if memory serves me right) and Amnoon Oasis.
Still, the arenas are not necessarily required spots for the Tyrian Grandmaster Cartographer title. It seems there is a little bit of a leeway built into the title, so you could reach it without actually unfogging every single bit of the map. So the arenas are like the Monastery Overlook and the Shing Jea Arena in Cantha - you can get the title without them, but you have a bit of a headstart towards the title if you've got them unfogged.
Please look in the Tyrian Explorers League forum for more tips on the exploration of Tyria.
