I was thinking of converting my R/E to R/W trapper OR perhaps this form of ranger.
Since my mesmer and warrior are disruption types, maybe a disrupting ranger would be fun too.
Expertise: 9+1
Marksmanship: 10+2
Wilderness Survival: 7+1
Domination Magic: 10
Distracting Shot
Debilitating Shot
Concussion Shot
Savage Shot
Incendiary Arrows {E}
Choking Gas
Shame
Guilt
As you can see, this is definitely the anti-caster build. Every single skill is taken up by an anti-caster type. Though I'm wondering, should I replace some of the shots and add more mesmer domination hexes or interrupts? I'm just hoping I'm getting the most out of my Expertise so there's a lot of shots in here. I'd like to work Diversion in there since it's being worshipped by my guildmates and lots of forum runners as well. The preparations don't stack, however their long recycle times allow them to be chained together. No defense against warriors however so would it be even feasible to put one in?
R/Me anti-caster, done to death but just curious...

Try changing out one of those for Backfire, which is useful against oblivious monks/elementalists.

I suppose that's fine for PUGs but after my last post regarding Backfire, I think I'll try something else. Thanks for the input. Also, without fast casting, I'm certain a smart team will just power block me or something. Shame and Guilt are just a second faster but making the most out of your time is key to playing this game. I don't want to have to use interrupt skills because domination line doesn't grab energy. What I don't get is that Power Drain from Inspiration interrupts and gains energy, not drains it...
Perhaps going Inspiration would help? Probably not, since the Expertise level is enough to offset the cost of lots of my skills [using Druid's Armor too] 40% cheaper casting cost is the yay* ^_^
Hmm, would chucking one of my Shame or Guilt spells warrant Diversion? Each spell is geared toward one type of caster...

Wastrel's Worry is a cheap, fast-casting, low cooldown spell that works well against mages.
If you go Inpsiration, you can get Leech signet and Power drain which are good against mages, and Spirit of Failure, which is probably good against warriors and Rangers.

Domination is a line that I think is best for primary mesmers. Inspiration for E/H removal and stuff is better for a ranger, in my opinion.
Since you have CGas and Iarrows, you already interupt on every friggin arrow. Whats the point of your savage, distracting, or conc shots then? (especially savage) I dont know exactly what to replace them with...maybe power leak...maybe mind wrack... you decide. Tigers Fury would be nice but needs an extra attribute

Choking and Incendiary have a noticeable downtime even with them running in succession. So during that downtime, I spam the other arrow shots.
Mind Wrack and Wastrel's Worry I was told are some of the shittiest skills... And through thorough explanation, it seems true. What else? hmm...
Diversion + Arcane Echo? Nah, seems WAYY to energy unfriendly.

R/Me is awesome for energy denial. Echo/Debil/Tigers/Serpents quickness is an incredibly strong setup for single target energy denial. Just an alternate suggestion.
I'd be wary of using mesmer spells as a ranger though. You're going to be out of energy fast otherwise when the whole point of being a ranger is to sustain it indefinitely. Imo if you take anything from mes it should be echo and left at that or your energy will not be happy. You also might want to consider serpents quickness to reduce the incendiary recharge time every other time.
And yes you're right that mind wrack and wastrels worry belong in the trash. MW is too conditional and unknown and WW just is a bad dot.
