Rng / Elem ~ combo

Hey all, yesterday I created a Rng/ Elem combo which worked out quite well. Pull with bow .. let charmed pet get agro, then rain down the flames, all while healing myself

I really enjoy the ability to combine class's to make your own custom character. I come from Eq1 / Eq2 ... My toon now in Eq2 is a Lv50 Assassin, so running around with a bow.. I felt at home. But throw in the art of magic and a pet and it rocks.

The game has ALOT of potential. I just have to adjust from the SOE commands Im so used to.

Couple things I couldnt figure out...

1# If there a way to set ( look up / look down ) and assign it to a key. I use the number pad to run around with.. and would really like to assign PgUp and PgDn to look up and down.

2# In all the games that I have played it was /tell *player name to send a private tell. IN this game i see that it may be called a whisper?

Last night played a bit more with my buddy. Got my R/Ele up to Lv8. At around Lv6 or so I dropped the pet. Created my character as a dps support toon. Focusing on Marksmanship and firedmg. Worked out quite well. Ended up getting a pimp bow last night which I dont want to give up ~ ( 12- 19dmg , 15%dmg+ while hex'ed, 20%longer poison duration, and I customized it to have 20%+ more base dmg. ) It was Gold " Longbow of the poisoner "

Im looking forward to the release of this game now ^^ last night sucked me in. I dig how every item you purchase changes you drastically. My Rawhide vest made me look like a bounty hunter , heheh

Glad to see you are enjoying the game, and that you've found a build you like. This forum is more for questions / comments about builds than the type of help that you asked for, which may be why no one answered you. As for the 1st question, I am not sure. The 2nd question, yes it is indeed called a whisper but you can use /t "name", "message" or /tell "name", "message" to send a tell/whisper to someone. Don't forget to use first and last name, with a comma in between the name and the message!

unsure about your first question Elvar - have you considered looking and moving around with the mouse?

I seem to differ from most people in that i use the keyboard for attacks, skills and calls while using the mouse to run around (holding right click and left click will make you run whereever you are looking) although for fights etc i use WASD occasionally so i can strafe and keep an eye on the battle.
