how do you beat monk mirror for ascencion?

first of all, i dont understand why my mirror has 80 armor, when i have 30, and does 100 damage with a bow and an axe, when i do about 10 with my wand. also whenever i take my armor off, he still wears his. but mainly i would just like to know how to beat him, ill take all the advice i can. if it helps to know, my secondary is necro.

I like that you thought to take your armor off.

You should have at least 50-ish armor (I had the 57AL from the crafter near fishermans haven), second you only need healing breeze with maxed attributes & 11-22 rod/staff. (Ultra-cheesy & slow but it works).

Or you can just equip any sort of sacraficing skills and smite him to death, don't use the sacraficing.

Monk/necro has to be the EASIEST to beat except for ele anything.
Monk/necro is certainly the fastest.

I was almost disappointed when i whooped my Elementalist during this mirror-fight for Ascension...made me feel somehow...lessened...

I'm just about to try my hand at Ascending with my monk, so i might take some of the advice given here

I beat my mirror image as a Mo/W

I used a max damage firey dragon sword. ALOT of energy melee attacks endure pain and healing breeze.

Set 10 healing and 11 swordmanship

Or you guys can just beat him in 17 seconds with smiting.... Seriously...

One problem with that, he smites right back at you.

As an El/Mo who was only skilled in Monk spells at the time of ascention, I beat my mirror easily as follows:

The only skills I equipped were Pacifism and healing breeze. Somehow the mirror doesn't use the breeze, so that was my chance of healing myself. I attacked him with my mighty 5-7 wand endlessly, and of course he would make more damage over time than I did.

So whenever I was below his health, I would use pacifism on him, stop attacking, and use the breeze to get myself at a higher health then he was. Then pacifism wore off and the game began again. After a few minutes he was down, and I was still at almost full heath.

Life Attunement is your friend.

Use Healing Breeze on yourself, let himself use Life Attunement on himself (as long as you take no spells for him to heal with, he'll just deal less damage), and beat him to death with whatever you feel like.

As far as sacrificing skills go - take Awaken The Blood, Signet of Agony and Chillblains - he'll have himself diseased and poisoned, as well as sacrificing life + extra from Awaken the Blood.

Also - he ALWAYS has better weapons and armour - so wear your best equipment - it's only skills that matter.

Do exactly what Nightsorrow said. Take Life Attunement and Healing Breeze, then just smack at him with your wand. I was able to beat him in under 50 seconds with a max clean wand using just that, no other skills.

Run next to him, cast balthazaar's aura, symbol of wrath and zealot's fire. Spam divine boon until dead. The mirrior will not cast the spells with the same efficiency that you cast them, so he will most likely be attacking for most of the fight, and only casting a smiting skill for the other duration of the fight.
