Ranger damage question

I have a question about ranger ascention, and how I manage to do an inordinately small amount of damage to my foe.

I am level 19 with quarrel falls or ventaris fefuge (cant remember which) druids armor, and I have a max damage ebon shadow bow of shelter +6 armor +15% attack when below 50%, but i only do about 15-25 damage per hit to my doppleganger. On the other hand he seems to do about 70 - 90.

Something about this scenario seems wrong to me. Can you tell me if I am doing an inordinately small amount of damage, and what I can do about it if I am.

Your are doing fine, the dopleganger has just really strong attacks with its bow if you have high marksmanship. Get up close and it can't kill crap using its wimpy axe, since it has no axe mastery.

1) The dopelganger is level 20 (and I believe with 200 attribute points). He probably has higher marksmanship than you, resulting in higher damage.

2) I think he wears Droknar's Armor.

my dopplerganger never hit me.

bring all preperation skills with you...he'll cast them one after the other...you'll kill him before he gets a chance to cast them all
