Why PvE

Why PvE Since the new faction patch there have been less and less drops. its it so bad to give me good weapons if I like to farm? the PvP people get the best weapons anyways. they can now Unlock skills with their factions. they also get rank where they get cool deers and wolves. what about the people who enjoy the Role play. why dont can PvE people get cool animals or glowy hands if they Kill the lich king and even more so if they get all the bonuses. PvP people can type /rank. why cant PvE people type /status or something summon a tiger. to show people how far they been in the game and how many quest they have done.

I'm not asking for better weapons to beat PvP people. just asking for something that looks cool other than FoW armor that cost a godly amount. something to show how much XP I have in the game so people know where I stand in PvE. and I would also like more drops to help me threw the game. condsidering I cant farm Items anymore but they can farm factions I dont see how its a problem. anybody else agree or am I the only one?

Been getting good drops, can never sell them.

As hard as it is to believe, some people actually enjoy stories and exploration and other dumb stuff like that. These silly people don't realize that the only reason to play the game is to be rewarded with items. I honestly feel bad for these people, because they just don't get it.

To answer the question of the topic i will formulate the opposite of it and ask it to you.

Why PvP? I'll also give the answer... You do what you like... If people Enjoy PvP fine, if people enjoy PvE good... I personally like both ( mostly pvp tho ).

For the weapon drop... i remember they said they will continu to balance it, how, don't ask me.

I feel the same. I love to explore and see all kinds of difrent places, and monsters and the such. But I also like to have cool looking armour and weapons and stuff. A few little perks here and there. I've noticed the drop shortage. It gets annoying. I mean how am I supposed to make money to upgrade/buy amour and weapons when there are so little drops? I also would like to have somthing to show were I stand in the whole PVE world. Somthing another player could look at and respect, somthing to show I'm not a retarded noob who rushed through the whole game just to woop weaker noobs in ascalon arena. On top of that, I want somthing cool and unique. Like more high end armours besides the fissure armour or what ever it is. What would be great is 10 difrent kinds of armour that have the same stats, but look utterly difrent.

Because some people enjoy it, if you dont enjoy it then dont do it, its a game and you shouldnt be complaining

Unless the faction patch lowered drop rates and stuff too, i dont see how this is true.

No it isnt bad, but the game is based on anti-grind, and if you want to farm then there are MANY other games far superior to this that will fit your PvE needs

Well let me explain, the GW PvE community is atleast somewhat rewarding, where the pvp was so boring that i quit to play(god forbid) diablo, but 1 day later the patch came out and I loved the game again, i felt the faction idea was the greatest idea since sliced bread. I think the "rank" thing was pretty cool, and i somewhat agree with you(because i dont even play pve) but I think a rank thing would be acceptable for pve too, as long as it isnt in the "pvp gets to do this and i want to do it! mommy make pvp share!" spirit.

I found the level of drops to be fine, my secnod char(first stopped at 10, so still my first far char) was at augry rock. Level 20, max damage gold axe, all updated armor, 20p+ in my storage along with more runes, dyes, and crafting supplies that i knew what to do with. I dont even farm, the drops are FINE as long as you arnt farming, if your a true PvEr youd play the game without farming, farming to me seems like a pvp thing(im not a pve fan but i farm runes ect) Overall, your arguement is somewhat acceptable, PvErs do need a little more icing on the cake, but I think that you went overboard, because there already is a cake. Right now arenanet is working on balancing game and player bug issues as well as trying to keep the MAJORITY of the popularity they are having, and what i think they are doing a somewhat fair job. I really dont like the "farming faction" line though, when i look at my 185 fame and my 2.7k faction, I know how hard i worked for that, not just point and click pve against AIless monsters(no mean for pve v pvp war, thats just how i view it =) but i outsmarted, outwitted, and outplayed many other guilds, players, and battlefields. I look at my flawless hoh victory screenshot, my name broadcasted all over the world, everyone congradulating me for taking it from the koreans, and I really felt that I WORKED for it, and not farmed. Its one thing to farm for 5 hours and get 100 platinum, its another thing to outsmart 3-4 traders in 30 minutes and make 100 platinum fair and square through your own wit and cunning.

I like to PvE. Its fun, its a game. If they only reason you play GW is to PvP, I would recommend you play other games where the pvp is better.

heck half the fun for me is just running around see what there is going on. I have explored most of the areas on the post searing world. some of the fissure region, and most of the underworld now. I'm taking my time through the south shiver peeks areas cause I am particulally enjoying that region. lots of bosses to kill!!! I'm sure I will equally enjoy the ring of fire areas beyond just the missions, and bonuses.

Like everyone here said, PvErs unconditionally enjoy PvE.

Why PvE? for a different and unique look?
Why a "15 above 50" halfmoon is 200k+ while a "15 above 50" ascalon short bow is 2k?
Why a "15 above 50" fellblade/crystal sword is nearly priceless while a "15 above 50" (if there is one) collector short sword is nearly worthless?

U sound like a person that just got ran to droknar's and dont know the rest of the game beyond that area. U dont think people "worked hard" to beat all the Missions and follow the story line and beat the lich king in Hell's Precipice? U probably never been or even seen Hell's Precipice. for real it sound like your just some 14 year old that has a problem with people running around in cool looking armor or something because they follow the story line. This game has 2 types of players. and u seem to be for one I can respect that but I think u when overboard when u said "pvp gets to do this and i want to do it! mommy make pvp share!" spirit. sound like u have a serious problem with nothing. U get nothing from PvE now. the Role playing crowd likes to farm. what does it matter they arent PvP-ing anyways. u get all the best stuff handed to u. 20/20 based and get to unlock your items what is your problem. I say have your factions, have your PvP rank have all that. but give something or something back to PvE, they still need support in playing the role playing part of the game and they cant because there not drops.

if this is suppose to be a grindless game Explain to me how u "worked Hard" in getting your factions. That grind Kid. working hard is grind. and Grind is Farming. the more u play the more u win the more faction u get. how is that not grind.

seems like to me u have a " dont let them have drops or cool stuff because I want that stuff too but dont want to do the work because I like PvP Mommy" attitude

not asking for drops to PvP but to play the game. if u got a problem with people wanting drops only to PvE or have a problem with people showing others that they beat the mission and u didnt because u only PvP then take it to the PvP crowd dude I dont think they will care if PvE people Just have better looking armor and not better stats on thier armor. or can press /status to show they been to Hell's Precipice and back.

seriously the pvp get weapons that people will pay good money for in PvE. but PvE is pointless now. nothing is give to PvE people. everything is been taken away. U use to play PvE to make your PvP better. but after the faction patch u can just PvP to make your PvP better. Why not give something in PvE to make your PvE player better in PvE. Or Show a status of how much u know or how much XP u have.

with out the PvE people this game would not be a MMORPG. because there no role playing to it. very few people in Hell's Precipice theres only 1 district at any give in time because people are not give a reason to get to the last mission thus far.

In short Get off it dude. U want to short change PvE people for some unknow reason, But let me remind u with out a PvE crowd gold is worthless and the market is worthless. if they leave then it will be all about the factions. use your head. U need PvE people or u cant sell a sigil at any price. and most the people who bought the game are PvE people because it is Advertise as a MMORPG and not just a PvP game. So the most important people in the Game are PvE people and are being over looked.

Dont like the PvE people well there is plenty of games out there that are just PvP games. let me know if u want me to give u a few

and Malchiel dude u cant sell them because they are worthless unless people can unlock them man. Once u beat Hell's Precipice that is game over. no more reason to play. unless u want to play the expantion but in the end u get nothing for working hard and taking down lvl 30 lich dragons or anything else.

There does seem to be a misconception that 'stuff' is fun. 'Stuff' isn't fun, what you did to get it or what you do with it is. If you don't find what you did to get it or what you do with it fun, stop playing.

This PvE thread is almost as bad as the 'omg, i have to PvP a lot to get runes through faction' ones. Some people seem to only want the end result, not enjoy the events leading up to it. If you don't find PvE fun, play PvP. If you don't find PvP fun, quit.

I guess "u" are not using your head. like I said without people in RPG gold will be worthless and if all "u" got is picking on my internet short hand and telling people to quit then "u" will be one of the down fall of the game.

all I have to say is if your only defence to what I have to say is "dont play" then u should realize that the makers want people to play and lots of them not just a lil tiny group that likes to pvp and dont want PvE people to have any kind of rewards like the PvP people. so my suggestion its only to going to get more people to play and keep them playing. your suggestion is just going to push them away to another game. and I'm pretty sure that the makers of guild wars would rather lose one or 2 of the pvp players like yourself then lose 10's of 1,000's of people trying to keep u happy


they will do the math and u will not add up. because all u keep saying is not to play and they want me to play. thats why they read these posts.

Why can't some of you just accept that this game is comprised of both PvE and PvP and enjoy them both, instead of forming "gangs" and flaming eachother like little children?
