Wasn't sure if I should post this or in the Guild forum, but meh..

My guild is mainly a PvE guild. We've done Tombs a bit, but haven't held any GvG matches since acquiring the guild hall (mostly just been using it for meetings, etc.).

Are 8 people required to enter into a GvG match?

No you can use henchman. All though unless highly skilled any more than 3 henchman is suicide.

Just a question but how many other guilds use henchmen in general? We have a small guild, and would probably use 1 or 2 henchmen, and want to at least have a chance at winning once in a while

Ok, so hypothetically.. if I enter a GvG match with 5 people in my party (whether it's all real people, or 1 person and henchmen).. will I be matched up with another team that has 5 people, or will I be matched up randomly and get a group with 8 people, having the disadvantage?

It's random. You may be matched with another guild that has 5 players or one that has 8. The toughest battle I fought in GvG was 3 Monks and a Necromancer with Henchies filling in the rest of the slots. We only won after more than 30 minutes because one of the Monks disconnected and we could finally get the upper hand.
