Yeah anyway Im new to Guildwars and was wondering about something... If the game is sposed to be all about PVP and have tournaments etc, and it also rewards farming in PVP, how is it considered Fair PVP? What if the winner of a tourny is decided only upon time spent ganking Guild lords to get there uber builds? Or time spent farming the PVE?
I played a lot of CS and it seems like the competition would be gimped from the start? Sorry but a friend said this game had good pvp competition but I don't really get why I would want to farm to be good? In CS I had skill, in GW I have time?
Anyway just wondering about this, and if tournaments would be fair or favor the older guilds who have farmed everything out instead of people who work and do other things?
BTW sorry to say but I find the PVP in this game no different then WoW or something....

You can be good without farming. You don't have to unlock that much to be successful in PvP. One playthrough in PvE will give you enough to be competitive in the professions that you picked.
Plus, the premades are quite good, for the most part.

It helps not to give out disinformation. The premades besides fi boon monk and ivex trapper suck.
Anyway by posting something like this you're just going to attract a bunch of idiots and trolls. They've already started appearing. So you probably won't get your question really answered in an intelligent way. It's been brought up so many times, do a search if you want to know more.

Make do with what you have, build a strategy and team around that. You don't NEED all the skills and runes to be successful. Yes they will give you an extra edge, an advantage but what matters is knowing how to utilise what you have and making it work.
