Top Places To Find Rares?

I want to get some gold rare items so bad, but I dont know the best place to find rare items, Im not in underworld and im just about to get to the crystal desert, can someone tell me great places to find gold items (besides UW and CD)?

Also, Is it good to make 15 plat in a day? Cause thats what i made yesterday :P

It doesn't sound like your having any problems making money. Either that or your farming alot.

Also I personally only got a handful of Rare drops till I hit the desert. Once I got there My first rare was an almost perfect Zeolous Composite Bow of Marksmanship.

Chest farming - got 1 gold more or less every 5 mins.

rare drops are random for me. how the heck do you make 15K in a day? did you play like 8hrs straight yesterday?

the only hint i can give is that giants and ettins are good for rares. i'll leave finding them up to you guys.

Up until recently I thought making serious money was a "myth". This weekend I sat down with my elemental/monk and found a place to make 1800-2200 plat every 10 minutes and 30 seconds for an average of about 10-15 plat per hour (depending on rares). I average a gold drop or two every few runs. Plat isnt a problem anymore.

I'm not even half way through the story line (missions) and no where near the end game. It can be done guys. You just need to do a little homework and check out the zones.

i know a couple of places were rare drops,

mountain trolls outside of draknor forge ther is a cave wiht 30 mountain trolls lv 24. i found a smiter to be the best at this. thy drop so many rares i got 10 rares in on 10 min run.

another way i make 2.5k every 15 min is the marhan grotto chest it drops 3 items most of time some rares, and alot of fiery dragon swords. they sell for 50g each

Yeah, asking for places with lots of rares is like begging for an area to be nerfed.

give it a few days, a week max, and those locations will be nerfed. then they will be replaced with even more ice imps!

Okay, I know that by asking this I am going to get flamed and called an idiot, but what exactly is farming?

Farming is the out/opening chests of an area, then going back and doing it multiple.

Well, I got 120k in 3 days. No not 3 days in time, 3 days just like, well, 3 days. Playing an average of 5-8 hours (not straight, with breaks and some air every now and then) per day. And you know the best part? It was fun. Just find something you like to do and feel like you could do it 1,000x over. I did, and I've found at least over 20 rares and god knows how many purples (which I gave away un-Id'ed).

Rares are just a random drop. It depends on the level of the monsters of how good the rare is. For max damage weapons fight lvl 24+ monsters.

Doesn't it also include killing mass mobs and reaping the loot? It's not exactly restricted to chests/barrels/wreckages.
