So there have been a bunch of threads with people complainig about things. I figure I'll complie all these gripes into a simple to query thread about what sucks.

Without further adeiu....

General Gripes

People who aggro too many mobs - A big thank you, Rambo.
"I need to get dinner. BRB" during missions - Well, I needed a 30 minute break, anyway
While we're at it... AFK'ers in general
Racial slurs in chat - BTW, 'Jew' is not a race, nor an insult, nor my heritage
Random drawing in the minimap - No, you don't have a future in art.
People pinging more than, say, 6 times on the minimap
People who have builds that basically do nothing - Wow a ranger using mostly fire magic. Nice.
PUGs with no leader - Hint: if you're name is at the top of the list, and no one else steps up, you're it.
PUGs with no followers - See previous
"Hey, I hear Alt-F4 gives you +10 Morale" spam - Sure 1 person fell for this in '98. It's OK to let go.
Chat spam - I know you're LFG and WTS something. Just, you know, maybe shut up for a few seconds between SHOUTING AT US IN ALL CAPS.

Monk Gripes

People who tell me to heal them - If I am a healing monk, then I thank you for telling me my job. I had forgotten for a second.
"Rez Me" spam - Since you're the one who got us into this mess, you'll forgive me if I don't just yet. Let me get out of this raging battle first.
People who run away from us and expect healing - ya, you're boned
People who aggro mobs before we're back to anywhere near full energy - Hope you like the 6 points of damage I'm doing, 'cause I'm not doing much healing
People calling me 'Monk' or 'You, Monk" - Thanks, 'polesmoker'
Warriors telling "You suck" while I'm being gang-banged by 4 people - I'm sorry. I was busy entertaining a little party back here.
Being the first target in PvP - Come get me! I'm feeling lonely, and I want to meet new people.
Mesmers - I hate you all. Deeply.
People who keep taking damage, and don't move while others are taking that kind of damage - Please. Throw me a bone. Get out of that firestorm.
Groups that don't stay together - Let's be closer. I love you all.
Squishies thinking that they're tanks - I've made an executive decision. Your sacrifice will not be in vain, and I promise to rez you Real Soon Now(tm)
Join request spam - I wish you guys would love me for me, not my primary class

Warrior Gripes

Monks not healing me enough - Hey, you wanted a meat sheild, now get to work
People waiting FOREVER between aggroing mobs - I got a butt-load of adrenaline, and I'm itching to make something dead
Casters calling targets - I'm a bit busy over here. I'd rather not expose myself to 50 critical hits by turning my back to the enemy
Blindness - Damnit. Anybody got any condition removal?
Monks that can't keep up - Hey, the front of the line is over here. Get to work!
Trying to find a PUG is interesting with the othe 400 Warriors in the district

Mesmer Gripes

We die fast - WTF? Family-Friendly Forum Idiot! ~PD
I'm anti-caster. I am not targetting a warrior. Lemme bug this Ele over here.
I'm anti-warrior. Lemme take care of this guy pounding on our monk.
Rangers. Damn you.
No one will take me into their PUG - Come on... You see how the Ele boss has been sitting there staring at us? That's me. Worship.
(Male Mesmers) The costume - No, I will not show you where the closest pride parade is.

Necro Gripes

Body snatchers - I'm the primary necro... gimme the corpses. That weak-ass, 2-bip well sucks. Hard.
Trying to into PUGs is hard - Sure, get another Wa/Mo. Grab another monk, too. You'll need it.

Ranger Gripes

"Rangers Suck" rants - You're all tools.
Dumb pets - I love you, Mauler, but please stop trying to eat ALL the bad guys
Getting into PUGs is hard - I should have been a monk.

Elementalist Gripes

No breaks between engagements - "My Energy is 2 of 85" means I'm mostly here for moral support
Mesmers - I hate you all. Even deeper than the monk does.
If I'm not a nuker, I find out what being kicked feels like, real quick.
Why must I always be an Air Ele in tombs?
People who think we can't tank sometimes - I'm running at 140 armor. I'll be ok.
People who expect non-stop nuke - Look, my best shizzle has a 5 second cast time. Chill. Firey death will soon arrive.

So there you have it... please add your own, as I don't play all the classes, but gathered this from numerous Guild bitch sessions.

Ya, I forgot the join request spams I got as a monk.... As for warriors, the good news is that nobody really has all that much against warriors, there are just a whole lot of them, and most groups grab a couple. I feel bad for the mesmers at the mid levels where they really don't do crazy damage, and don't have the great spells yet. And they look so... effeminate... I'll add those

I'll add some:

"We need to go this way" (scribbles on mini-map). "No, it's THIS way (scribbles appear on MM in opposite direction). Party stands around for five minutes, thumbs firmly planted in their butts, while two players aregue about how to get to the next town.

Necros that think they are natural born killers.

Players that purposely aggro every mob in sight because of some perceived (or real) slight, dooming the party from completing that hour long mission.

i go to check if there are any other mobs around that may want to kill us, and i find the old twig and berries on my screen

I think the mesmer needs a gripe added.

The caster is MINE. Tanks, deal with the guys coming to kill the squishies, I'll take the casters. 3 warriors are not needed on the enemy healer when I've disabled him, get back to guarding the squishies.

Warrior Gripe: I hate when someone pings a location with a drawn circle or arrow pointing to it. Being in the front, I gotta get the mobs to concentrate their damage on me while everyone else stands back and kills (duh). So naturally I charge in (after people are recharged of course) and the next thing I see is "WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU NOOB!!??!11!?" and "NO DON'T GO THAT WAY!" Geeze WTF? Don't draw on the f***ing map if you don't know where to go!!!

Mesmer Gripe: Mind you I've never played as a mesmer, but they should be invited into parties more often. I was doing Thirsy River mission and invited one mesmer (which was actually already partied with another mesmer) I actually wanted a mesmer and an elementalist. After they got in I realized what I did and thought "crap! oh well...." I didn't wanna be rude and kick one of them. Anyway, we got through the mission very well. In fact, it was the smoothest ride I've ever gone through there.

Gripes against Monks: Charging 5k before a crucial part towards the end of the mission. Personally, I don't give them the satisfaction and just leave. No way they're getting even 1 gold from me. I don't mind doing the mission again (even Hell's Precipice).

Here some more general gripes.

1) Geting stuck in the secreny so you can't move and then dieing because of it

2) The large group of mobs that come out of NOWHERE and kill the group when your doing really well.

3) people who join the group and then quit 2 mins into the mission saying sorry got to eat dinner. WTF did you join in the 1st place then.

4) People who try act like thier secondry proff esp if thats a warrior. No your NOT a tank so stop trying to act like one and dieing all the time.

5) people who think air eles are so much better than fire eles in PVE.

If you get too much TLC from the mobs, don't run away from me. Run around me until I can catch their attention.

If I've placed myself by a corner, it's not a good idea to run past me. I've placed myself there because it helps me keep the mobs from getting to you!

You're support. It's my job to keep the mobs off you, but it is your job to keep me alive!

Sorry but pets ARE usefull. I don't ask anyone to heal or rez my pet I can look after him just fine, like he looks after me and stops those hydras eating me for lunch.

I do agree with the N/W though had 2 in the fissure a couple of days ago sigh

Completly useless just as well the other 6 of us where good enough to get though a good 5 or 6 missions before we quit due it being about 5am.

This is the best summary of a warrior's role that I've heard. Warrior's are not primary damage dealers. Their job is to keep the primary damage dealers alive. Their job is to draw and HOLD aggro on themselves, and keep the mobs off the casters. If more warriors understood this, there would be far fewer complaints about warriors.

I'm sick of people complaining about warriors in the way the above people are. Warriors are NOT always tanks. In PvE, which is something in this game NO ONE SHOULD CARE ABOUT, fine, the warrior's goal should be to take the hits. But wait, whats this 'no one should care about' bit for PvE? O right, because the focus of this game is PvP. But wait? PvP is different?!?! The other team is going to attack the monks and spellcasters first no matter what the warriors do? Well gosh.

Warriors are meant to be damage dealers. This is the main reason why W/Mo tends to be such a crappy build outside of the useless PvE in this game. What good is the ability to heal yourself if no one is attacking you in the first place? Its a rhetorical question. Warriors are meant to be doing heavy damage/snaring to monks and later spellcasters. I've not once seen this be a problem in PvE where the whole team is of reasonable quality. In doing damage warriors tank naturally, thats just how it goes. If you have troubles with the warriors around you its because a) they have 4 superior runes and crappy armor (ie: a terrible build, poor noob), or b) the team (and if this happens alot, remember the constant is YOU) sucks, and needs to learn how to adapt to the 'unexpected' ('o noes! im taking damage! why is this happening?!?!').

Erm, I'm just being nitpicky, but 'Jew' (Israelite to be proper i suppose) is a race. Not every person of the jewish faith is of the jewish race, of course, BUT that of course doesn't mean the race doesn't exist (which it of course does). Also saying 'that isn't an insult' is goofy, as to any one person it could be considered an insult (for example if you're firmly against judeo-christianity, or if you're an athiest who takes offense to that sort of thing for whatever reason). Once again, i'm just being nitpicky, but come on...

Thanks. I'm surprised not more people understand and accept that fact. I've stood within the middle of a dozen minotaurs with a healing seed, and just kept them there while the elementalists pounded away with firestorm and meteor. That's my job.

i have a few.. im suprized they havent been said yet.. well... some of them may have but they are so good you have to hear them again.. or not

1) Im ready for the mission and i dont care if no one else is because i roxors the big!!11!- Seriously, if i had a dollar for everytime a ele or monk left because the party leader never asked "you guys ready" bill gates would be trying to rob me right now... wait for everyone to get their spells ready

2) OMG why did that guy just stand there for 30 seconds a leave- Ever hear of lag and drop? not everyone is a monk who leaves when they please.. which brings up the next point

3) Im a monk, i hear the word of god, do as i say or be doomed!- ok on the last mission the monk would not heal some guy because he asked him to stop tanking so much

4) Monk tatoos... wash your loin cloth lately? (sorry i just cant stand seeing half the monks in nothing but towels)

5) Im attacking Jade armor.. Im attacking Jade bow.. Im attacking so many targets at once that this is total pointless.. one person calls, not 5, and when that one person calls, they attack one target.. not 5.. (im not just making this up, its happend and they blame my poor W/N because i start attacking the guy they called 3 targets ago) this is also kinda with target switching.. in the last missions i cant count the amount of times all us warriors were attacking somethign and they call a diffrent target so they all switch even if this target was at 1/4 health.. pick a target and stick to it

6) "naked" ele dancers... enjoy it while you can, its the last time your ever going to see that kind of action

7) OMG do your job... STFU necros suck.. no you suck at healing, well you fail at life.. *Player 2 has left* *Player 3 has left* *any remaing party memebers have left*... can't we all just get along?

And finaly my personal favourite

8) Gwen bashing.. common.. what did she do to you? this curious little girl saved my but more times than i can count the other day

Depending on your team, somtimes you have to give'em a good ping to make them understand that they're heading off into the wrong direction.

I love it when you, as a healer, give energy warnings, telling people that you can't heal them with only 0-4 energy left, and they have nothing better to do, but rush into a group of azure shadows or whatever.

Sometimes it's just fun to actually do that.

Yesterday a Lvl14 Warrior approached in Ventari's Refuge and seriously asked about how the storage worked, and what it was good for.

He continued asking how far the end of the game would be from this point on.

I just couldn't resist telling him, that pressing F12 would bring him very close to the end.

I agree. Pets are most usefull, unless you don't know how to control them.

I thought pets can only be rezed by their owner?

I completely agree with you, and my primary is a warrior. OH! beware the mighty 15 damage i deal every second! To 1 enemy. The only things i'm great at killing are the squishies.

Too bad the squishies never seem to get the fact that i should be about 50 feet a head of them so i can aggro the baddies, not the elementalist that tries to draw with his fire wand....

People who think their trade offers are so interesting and important that they just have to post them in Local Channel to make sure that we all can see them. When we switched off our Trade Channel because we...um... don't ever trade, we were obviously not thinking.

as for the click alt F4: i've been in a random team where one of my teammates fell for it. i was laughing about it, knowing we would get probably pounded 3 vs 4 when the gate went up.
