How do i tame a bear in pre-sear?

i`ve been trying to tame a bear but can`t seem to do it...they keep breaking the charm. but i have seen another player with a bear in pre-sear. anyone help me?

You can not tame a bear pre-searing. The earliest you can get one is in the Southern Shiverpeaks (the first place I have seen one).

It is no longer possible after a recent patching.

Hmm, I read patch messages and I never heard about bears not being charmable pre-searing anymore. That's news to me.

Anyway, I helped a ranger charm a bear in wizards folly back in the day. We originaly thought to charm it while it was flat on its back, but that didin't work. After about a million tries we figured out that the bear can't break charm while it is mauling, so just watch its attack pattern for a while and anticipate its maul. That worked then at least.

They changed that with one of the last patches.

Now they'll break charm no matter what they're doing or what you do to them. They will break your charm even while knocked down.
